Arpista Moves To Beau Valley Stable In Alberta For 2021

The Quality Road son, Arpista, will stand at Beau Valley Stable in Didsbury, Alberta for the 2021 season.

Quality Road has 11 Grade 1 winners from six crops of racing age and stands for a $150,000 stud fee at Lane's End in Kentucky. Quality Road is rated as one of the top three sires in North America and his progeny include the Grade 1 winners, City of Light ($5,662,670) and Roadster ($852,700).

The dam of Arpista, Harpia, is a graded stakes winner and black type producer. The Danzig mare won the Grade 3 Shirley Jones Handicap and finished second in four Grade 2 stakes, completing her race career with a record of winning or placing in ten of her thirteen starts. Harpia is the dam of stakes placed winner First Word ($281,000).

Arpista is the only son of Quality Road standing at stud in Canada.

He will stand for a $1,500 (Canadian) stud fee with a $250 booking fee.

Diamond B Farm Earns $250,000 Bonus For First Stakes Winner By Peace And Justice

When Like A Saltshaker crossed the wire in this year's Fitz Dixon, Jr. Memorial Juvenile Stakes at Presque Isle Downs, he made his breeders a quarter of a million dollars richer.

Diamond B Farm, owned by Glenn and Becky Brok, were recently awarded the $250,000 bonus as the breeders of the first stakes winner by Peace And Justice.

According to the stipulations, $250,000 was awarded to the first stakes winner of a non-restricted race from the first-crop of Peace And Justice.

Peace And Justice, the fastest son of sire of sires War Front standing in Pennsylvania, has three wins and five placings from the nine starters in his first-crop.

He will stand for $3,500 LFSN at Blackstone Farm in Pine Grove, Pa., in 2021 and will be available for inspection at the Blackstone Farm Stallion Show on Jan. 16 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Indiana Thoroughbred Alliance Stallion Service Auction Opens December 18

Just in time for the holidays and right before the end of the 2020 tax write-off period, the Indiana Thoroughbred Alliance (ITA) presents their first annual Stallion Service Auction, hosted on Starquine.com.

The auction will kick off at 11 a.m. EST Dec. 18 and run until 7 p.m. EST Dec. 21, with a preview day on Dec. 17.

The auction benefits Thoroughbred aftercare in Indiana, helping to fund such groups like Friends of Ferdinand, Indiana's only Thoroughbred Aftercare Affiliated group.

Superstar stallions from as close as Indiana and Kentucky and as far as California and Florida are highlighted in the auction to entice any potential breeder nationwide.

Top Indiana stallions include:

– Swifty Farm stallions stakes winner Speightsong, Grade 2 winners Ready's Image and Pass Rush, and multiple stakes winners Isotherm and Guys Reward

Instilled Regard To Stand At Taylor Made Stallions In 2021

Grade 1 winner Instilled Regard will begin his stud career at Taylor Made Stallions in Nicholasville, Ky., for the 2021 breeding season, the farm announced Friday on social media.

The 5-year-old son of Arch will stand for an advertised fee of $12,500. His retirement to stud was announced on Tuesday, along with the revelation that his first book of mares would include Breeders' Cup Distaff winner Blue Prize. Both horses are owned by Larry Best's OXO Equine.

Instilled Regard finished fourth the 2018 Kentucky Derby, behind Triple Crown winner Justify, Good Magic, and Audible.

He won the Grade 3 Lecomte Stakes as a 3-year-old, then he took the G2 Ft. Lauderdale Stakes at four. His most successful season came this year at age five, which included victories in the G1 Manhattan Stakes and G2 Fort Marcy Stakes.

In total, he finished his on-track career with five wins in 18 starts for earnings of $983,240.

Instilled Regard is out of the winning Forestry mare Enhancing. His second dam is the champion Heavenly Prize, putting him in the family of Grade 1 winners Oh What a Windfall, Good Reward, and Persistently, as well as Grade 2 winner Pure Prize.
