Colvin Appointed 1/ST Content CEO

Gregg Colvin has been appointed chief executive officer of 1/ST Content, the operating group of 1/ST's media and content companies. Colvin will work with chief operating officer Jason Wilson to further develop 1/ST CONTENT brands to attract and retain a new group of consumers. He will also coordinate with Craig Fravel, Aidan Butler and the 1/ST RACING team along with Paul Williams and the 1/ST TECHNOLOGY team to produce and deliver new content offerings, enhanced quality of production and new simulcast distribution platforms for the company's Thoroughbred horse racing and wagering products.

Colvin most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of 421 Media, an social media firm that owns and operates hundreds of channels across Instagram and TikTok with a global audience of more than 275 million viewers.

Equitana Digital Event to Feature Rohlf

The Equine expo Equitana will kick off its partnership with wehorse, a European education platform for equestrians, with an interactive digital event Sept. 21 at 6 p.m. EDT with wehorse trainer Karen Rohlf. Rohlf will present her ideas on “The Happy Athlete Training Scale,” discuss her new course on wehorse with co-founder and CEO Christian Kroeber, and answer questions from the audience.

Rohlf will also be hosting an in-person clinic at EQUITANA USA, Oct. 1-3 at the Kentucky Horse Park.

TAA to be On-Site at the NHC

The Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance (TAA) will be on-site to promote aftercare awareness at the NTRA National Horseplayers Championship (NHC) Aug. 27-29 at Bally's Las Vegas. Horseplayers will be able to connect with TAA representatives, learn more about accredited Thoroughbred aftercare, enter drawings for select racing experiences, take home racing memorabilia, and donate to the TAA.

“We are delighted to once again partner with the TAA to raise awareness and funds for Thoroughbred aftercare at this year's NHC,” said NTRA COO Keith Chamblin. “Many horseplayers competing at the national championship look forward to supporting these equine athletes once their racing careers are concluded.”
