A $325,000 Keeneland September yearling, the Danny Gargan trainee recorded a four-furlong work from the gate in :46 2/5 July 22, the best of 119 at the distance. The dam, herself a stakes-winning and graded-stakes placed 'TDN Rising Star', is a half to GISW Finnegans Wake (Powerscourt {GB}). Jockey Luis Saez gets aboard for owners West Paces Racing LLC, R. A. Hill Stable, Belmar Racing and Breeding, LLC and Two Eights Racing.

Drawn furthest outside of the bunch, Act of Mutiny (Quality Road), a homebred for W.S. Farish, is a half to MGSW and young sire Catalina Cruiser (Union Rags) along with GSW/GISP Eagle (Candy Ride {Arg}) and MGSW Royal Flag (Candy Ride {Arg}).

One of the few starters with any experience, Lambo (Uncle Mo) finished a distant second as the favorite at Ellis Park June 22–his first start since bringing $950,000 at the OBS March Sale earlier this year. This colt's second dam is champion 2-year-old filly Storm Song (Summer Squall), also the second dam of MG1SW Order of St George (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}). A China Horse Club-bred colt, Heartland (Justify) claims MGISW and champion 2-year-old colt Classic Empire (Pioneerof the Nile) as his half-brother. Picked up by his breeder in partnership with Siena Farm and Winstar Farm for $575,000 at last year's Keeneland September Sale, the chestnut posted a best-of-74 work from the gate July 14, covering the distance in :46 2/5 for trainer Bob Baffert. Facing a field of entirely first-time starters, PRINCE OF MONACO (Speightstown) drew the enviable outside gate for his afternoon debut for trainer Bob Baffert and the prolific ownership group known as the 'Avengers'. Purchased for a coll $950,000 as a yearling out of last year's Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Select Sale, the dark bay colt is out of Medaglia d'Oro mare Rainier, herself a half to MSW/MGSP Laurie's Rocket (Bluegrass Cat) and to the dam of MSW/GSP Necker Island (Hard Spun). Switch In Time is out of dual Grade I winner Switch (Quiet American), who is also responsible for the Irish Group 3-placed Kiss You Later (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}). Christophe Lemaire has the call. Photo Call was purchased by Katsumi Yoshida for $2.7 million with this colt in utero at KEENOV in 2019, and is also responsible for a Maurice (Jpn) colt that sold for nearly $1.2 million as a foal in 2021. $2M Good Magic Colt Ready To Take The Stage

When the hammer fell at OBS back in March, MUTH (Good Magic) was not only the session topper, but the 2-year-old tied the sale record with a final price of $2 million. Purchased by Amr Zedan and trained by Bob Baffert, the bay colt breezed during the under tack show by going 1/8 in :9 3/5. On Belmont's Sunday card, a juvenile named Wine On Tap (Tapit) makes her debut for Todd Pletcher. The gray filly, who cost $600,000 at the Keeneland September sale last fall, is the first offspring to make the races for GSW Princess La Quinta. Out of a female family which includes multi-million dollar Japanese earner Washington Color (Black Tie Affair), Wine On Tap gets the services of Irad Ortiz Jr. from post four. TJCIS PPS

Another Bob Baffert trainee, this one a 3-year-old, makes his first start Sunday at Santa Anita. Fifth Street (Quality Road) fetched $950,000 at the Keeneland September Yearling sale. The bay colt's dam is a half-sister to Champion turf female and GI Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf heroine Rushing Fall (More Than Ready). Also drawn in is stablemate Extortion (Into Mischief), who was purchased for $1 million at the '22 Keeneland November sale by Gandharvi LLC. He will be making his second start after a fourth-place debut May 29 at Santa Anita. TJCIS PPS
