Just like that the 2022 Thoroughbred Makeover is done and over. My first impression is that I’m tired — like, new level of physical exhaustion tired — but also at the same time I am lifted up, encouraged, and inspired. I’m not sure I could accurately describe all the emotions and thoughts that I had throughout our week at the Kentucky Horse Park in just one final blog entry but I’m going to give it a shot.

Happy November and goodbye to another year of the Thoroughbred Makeover! Congratulations to all of my fellow competitors and a big thank you to everyone who made it such a wonderful event. I will admit that I am in a bit of denial that our Thoroughbred Makeover experience has come and gone. There’s just something about working so hard and so long to accomplish a goal, and finding the way to put those feelings and experiences into words has been challenging. That being said, the two best words that I can come up with to describe how I feel about our experiences are proud and thankful.
