Keeneland: NYRA Bets Player Hits Record $72,863 Superfecta With $18 Wager

A Keeneland record payoff of $72,863.72 for a 10-cent superfecta wager occurred in Thursday's seventh race at the Lexington, Ky., racetrack. The ticket, which swept the entire pool, was placed through NYRA Bets and cost only $18.

Keying the payoff was the win of 54-1 shot Fancy Martini, who is owned by Carl Moore Management and trained by Joe Sharp. James Graham was the winning rider.

Completing the superfecta in order were 37-1 shot Barista, 48-1 shot Smarmy and 4-1 shot Sister Lou Ann.

The winning combination was 6-8-5-2.

Keeneland's previous record high payoff superfecta for a dime was $27,228.80 established in the seventh race on Oct. 18, 2014.
