The reopening of the new Belmont Park finally arrives on Friday, Sept. 18, and excitement, enthusiasm, and anticipation are in the air for both horsemen and horseplayers. Top horses, jockeys, and trainers will all converge on Belmont Park as racing and wagering returns to the rebuilt New York track for its first live racing season since the spring of 2023.
