How to Use Betting Systems

If you’re an experienced casino player, you’ve probably already heard about the different betting systems.

Betting system raise an important question: can a player maximize his casino winnings using all sorts of mathematical and statistical tactics? This is an important questions because is this is true, players who don’t have any knowledge in mathematics won’t have the same chances as player who do, and the whole element of luck is being reduced into a minor factor in gambling.

After years and years of playing in the best online casinos and the most respected land-based casinos I can tell you that: betting systems don’t work!
So why people keep using those systems you ask? Well, in the casino world, if there is a slight chance that something will help you to win, you will use it, especially if you are looking for fast and sure winnings.

The truth is that betting systems cannot beat the casino games with a house advantage and they also cannot even dent it. Think about it, cards, balls and machines (for example the Random Number Generators that you can find in slot and video poker machines) don’t have a memory, they don’t remember what the last score or result was. As far as the roulette goes, each turn of the will is a new spin that has no connection to the other spins. The RNG in slot machines generates new numbers without to consider the other results.

Therefore statistics have a very small influence on the casino games.
You can use statistics in most of the card games like baccarat, poker and blackjack, because you can use mathematics when it comes to specific card decks that are used in those games, but since both the roulette wheel and the slot and video poker machines are using completely random data, you cannot use statistics on it.

What about gambling systems that deal with money management? Do they have a chance to maximize your profits or at least to prevent you from losing all your money?

Take the Martingale system for example. The main idea behind the Martingale system is to double your bet after a loss. If you do that, in the end you must win, so you’ll cover all your losses. This system is usually played with an even money games, like red/black bets in the roulette or the pass/don’t pass bet in craps, but this system cannot offer you a 100%$ win because the casino has elements that prevent this system from working.
Let’s take, for example, a player that starts to bet at $1, loses five bets and wins his 6th bet. If he’ll double his bets each time he lose money he’ll cover his losses, but since a player can win sometimes only after many bets not everyone have a good bankroll to cover and double after a loss.

Moreover, many casino games have a bet limit, so if you lose a sum of money that is close to the bet limit of the table, you cannot double it and the whole system becomes worthless.

In conclusion, most of the common betting systems will not help you to maximize your winnings, so our advice is simple: don’t trust them.

Gun Runner Filly Tabbed a ‘Rising Star’ at the Spa

Echo Zulu (f, 2, Gun Runner–Letgomyecho by Menifee), a half-sister to young Coolmore sire Echo Town (Speightstown), GISW, 'TDN Rising Star' and earner of $410,020, followed in her older brother's footsteps with a 'Rising Star' debut effort for Hall of Famer Steve Asmussen at the Spa Thursday.

The 4-1 chance tracked 3-2 favorite Lady Scarlet (Union Rags), a debut runner-up at Churchill June 4, from second through an opening quarter in :22:07. Echo Zulu, a $300,000 KEESEP yearling purchase, cruised up to challenge for command approaching the quarter pole under confident handling by Ricardo Santana, Jr., and took off impressively from there to graduate by 5 1/2 expanding lengths.

The final time for 5 1/2 furlongs was 1:04.69. Microbiome (Twirling Candy) won the earlier division of this race also in impressive fashion on debut, stopping the timer in 1:05.60 for the same distance.

This is the eighth winner and first 'Rising Star' for freshman sire Gun Runner (Candy Ride {Arg}). Echo Zulu is a half-sister to another 'Rising Star' in J Boys Echo (Mineshaft), GSW, $377,543; and Unbridled Outlaw (Unbridled's Song), GSP, $253,478. Letgomyecho had a filly by American Pharoah in 2020.

Asmussen, of course, trained both Horse of the Year Gun Runner as well as the aforementioned Echo Town.

“Opening day at Saratoga and that was a very impressive group of 2-year-old fillies assembled,” Asmussen said on the FS2 broadcast in the winner's circle. “For her to show her class and being from the first crop of Gun Runner, and the success they've already had–that's his eighth maiden special winner–and her also being a half-sister to Echo Town, who won the [GI Allen] Jerkens here for us last year, sky's the limit for the filly.”

5th-Saratoga, $100,000, Msw, 7-15, 2yo, f, 5 1/2f, 1:04.69, ft, 5 1/2 lengths.

Meadowlands Pace To Be Shown Live On Fox Sports 2 Saturday Night

A large part of the experience of The Meadowlands Pace, one of harness racing's greatest events, is the soundtrack that accompanies it.

“The Pace” are two words that elicit more than 40 years of memories of the greatest horses, greatest drivers, and, of course, greatest race calls in the history of the game.

Old-timers might recall Ed Gorman's 1980 Pace call, which included arguably the greatest horse ever: “And they are following Niatross and nobody's gonna catch him. It's Niatross by four and he's going away!”

Tom Durkin, who later in his career would go down as one of the greatest thoroughbred announcers of all time after his Big M stay, had this to say in 1985: “Nihilator, what a powerhouse, he's in full stride. Here's Nihilator, Bill O'Donnell urging him, to a sensational mile. 1:50.3. Nihilator! A superstar!”

In 2008, the late, great Sam McKee got to call what has been the most thrilling Pace to date as Somebeachsomewhere looked to stay unbeaten: “Somebeachsomewhere full out. Art Official, a desperate lunge on the outside. Art Official. Somebeachsomewhere. At the line…..Art Official! 1:47! World record upset in The Pace.”

And, finally, last year, the current voice of The Big M, Ken Warkentin, authored this thrilling finish: “In deep stretch, Papi Rob Hanover. Battling back, Tall Dark Stranger had more. Tall…Dark…Stranger in The Meadowlands Pace with Yannick Gingras!”

(All of the above races and many more are available by going to the Meadowlands YouTube Page.)

This Saturday (July 17), the 45th edition of The Big M's signature event will take center stage on a star-studded 14-race card that will include 11 stakes events. The evening gets underway with a special early post time of 6 p.m. The Meadowlands Pace is race nine and has a post time of 9:46 p.m.

For harness fans who can't make it out to the track or who live in another region of the country, there will be a live two-hour show telecast on Fox Sports 2 starting at 8 p.m. The Big M's TV team of Dave Brower and Dave Little will be on set, Jessica Otten will have pre-race features and interviews and Gabe Prewitt will join the team and have winner's circle reaction.

The Fox Sports 2 presentation will show four live events, which will comprise the “Fox Sports Pick Four” (races six through nine): The $178,500 Dorothy Haughton Memorial, $265,400 William Haughton Memorial (Division One) and $400,000 Hambletonian Maturity will serve as the appetizers before the main course, the $700,000 Pace.

The supporting races on the card would be the envy of any track manager even without the events that make up the Fox Sports Pick Four. They are, in order, beginning with race one: the $142,000 Del Miller Memorial (Division One), $135,500 Stanley Dancer Memorial (Division One), $139,500 Del Miller Memorial (Division Two), $174,400 Mistletoe Shalee and $40,000 Miss Versatility before races six through nine (see above). Then, the stakes resume with the $265,400 William Haughton Memorial (Division Two) and $138,800 Stanley Dancer Memorial (Division Two).

“Pace Night is always something special,” said track Chief Operating Officer and General Manager Jason Settlemoir. “It's just more special this year coming on the heels of the pandemic. The Meadowlands is expecting a big crowd and we are pulling out all the stops for our guests to enjoy the party on the biggest night in harness racing.”

Reach For The Moon Bids To Open Account

Observations on the European Racing Scene turns the spotlight on the best European races of the day, highlighting well-pedigreed horses early in their careers, horses of note returning to action and young runners that achieved notable results in the sales ring. Today's Observations features a blueblooded homebred of The Queen's.

1.00 Newbury, Novice, £10,000, 2yo, 7fT
NOBEL (IRE) (Lope de Vega {Ire}), who cost 825,000gns at the Tattersalls October Book 1 Sale, represents the Qatar Racing-Andrew Balding Classic-winning partnership as he makes his debut. A half-brother to the G3 Leopardstown Fillies Trial S. winner Love Locket (Ire) (No Nay Never) and the listed scorer Raakib Alhawa (Ire) (Kingman {GB}) from the family of High Chaparral (Ire), the March-foaled chestnut will have to be smart to deal with Prince Faisal's Find (GB) (Frankel {GB}), a John and Thady Gosden-trained son of the GI Alcibiades S. winner Spring In the Air (Spring At Last) who split the subsequent G2 July S. winner Lusail (Ire) (Mehmas {Ire}) and fellow July meeting scorer Noble Truth (Fr) (Kingman {GB}) at Newmarket last month.

1.35 Newbury, Novice, £10,000, 2yo, 7fT
REACH FOR THE MOON (GB) (Sea the Stars {Ire}) was half a length behind 'TDN Rising Star' Point Lonsdale (Ire) (Australia {GB}) in Royal Ascot's Listed Chesham S. last month and that form should be good enough to see The Queen's homebred off the mark in the second division of this novice. The John and Thady Gosden-trained half-brother to the G1 Winx S. runner-up Invictus Prince (GB) (Dansili {GB}) from the family of the G1 Epsom Oaks runner-up Flight of Fancy (GB) (Sadler's Wells) meets Susan Roy's unraced colt Dawn of Liberation (Ire) (Churchill {Ire}), a Richard Hannon-trained half-brother to the high-class 2-year-olds Toormore (Ire) (Arakan) and Estidhkaar (Ire) (Dark Angel {Ire}).

4.10 Haydock, Cond, £12,500, 3yo/up, 6f 212yT
BARADAR (IRE) (Muhaarar {GB}) makes his keenly-anticipated 3-year-old debut, having been absent since finishing third in the G1 Vertem Futurity Trophy at Doncaster in October. Roger Varian has failed to find a soft touch for Amo Racing's half-brother to last year's G1 Queen Elizabeth II S. runner-up Roseman (Ire) (Kingman {GB}), with two of his three rivals being Shadwell's 'TDN Rising Star' Mutasaabeq (GB) (Invincible Spirit {Ire}) and last year's G2 Mill Reef S. runner-up Fivethousandtoone (Ire) (Frankel {GB}).

4.20 Nottingham, Novice, £7,000, 3yo/up, f/m, 8f 75yT
STAR SEEKING (IRE) (Gleneagles {Ire}) makes her belated 3-year-old seasonal bow, having earned 'TDN Rising Star' status when successful on her sole start at Leicester in September. From the family of the sire Linngari (Ire) (Indian Ridge {Ire}), the Sir Michael Stoute-trained chestnut carries the Michael Tabor silks as she faces five rivals.

6.10 Newmarket, Novice, £9,000, 2yo, f, 7fT
WITH THE MOONLIGHT (IRE) (Frankel {GB}) is a full-sister to the G1 Jebel Hatta winner Dream Castle (GB), who failed to make the track at two before making up for lost time. Godolphin's homebred, who is a daughter of the G2 Flying Childers S. scorer Sand Vixen (GB) (Dubawi {Ire}) from a proven cross, represents the Charlie Appleby stable.
