Wanamaker’s 2023 September Sale Catalog Online

The catalog for the Wanamaker's September Sale is now available for viewing, with 22 hips set to be offered on Thursday, Sept. 28.

The sale features a wide range of offerings that suit a multitude of buyers, with weanlings, yearlings, horses of racing age, broodmare prospects, open broodmares, and mares in-foal comprising the catalog.

Bidding will open at 8 a.m. ET, with the first listing set to close at 5 p.m. Subsequent listings will close in three-minute increments. Detailed information on the buying process can be found at wanamakers.com/buy.

Highlights of the catalog include:

– A yearling colt out of the multiple stakes-winning mare, Amaranth. He is by Daredevil, whose first crop since returning to the United States has been very well received.

– Lass, a 5-year-old broodmare offered in-foal to first-year New York stallion, Mind Control. She is a half-sister to stakes placed, Reigning Chick.

– Map Em Up, a 5-year-old broodmare prospect by Liam's Map. She is a half-sister to the producer of multiple stakes-winning juvenile, Amidst Waves.

– Widget, a 10-year-old broodmare currently in-foal to Higher Power. She is the dam of winners and comes from the direct family of Grade 1 winner and producer, Zoftig.

– Afleet Arlene, a 4-year-old daughter of Afleet Alex offered as a broodmare prospect. Afleet Alex is the damsire of top dirt performers like Practical Move, Sir Winston, and Bourbonic.

– May Shares, an open twelve-year-old broodmare who was a stakes winner during her racing career. She is the dam of Feathers Road, a multi-race winner on the NYRA circuit with earnings of $224,503.
