Team Block's multiple stakes-winning turf specialist Another Mystery tops an oversubscribed field of 15 that were entered in Saturday's $200,000 Louisville Stakes (Grade 3) at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Ky.
The Louisville will go as Race 10 of 11 with a post time of 5:26 p.m. The 1 ½-mile marathon race will be contested in Lane 2, 12 ft. from the inside rail, on the Matt Winn Turf Course. First post is 12:45 p.m.
Trained by Chris Block, Another Mystery ran second behind multiple Grade 1 winner Channel Maker in last month's $300,000 Elkhorn (G2) at Keeneland. The 6-year-old horse finished in a dead heat for first with Fantasioso (ARG) in the $200,000 John B. Connally Turf Cup (G3) in late January. His 5-year-old campaign included victories in the $75,000 Bob F. Wright Memorial and $75,000 Black Tie Affair. Jareth Loveberry will have the mount from post position No. 8.
Another top contender in Saturday's Louisville appears to be Donegal Racing's two-time stakes winner Shamrocket. Trained by Todd Pletcher, the Florida-bred Shamrocket began his 5-year-old campaign with a half-length victory in the $75,000 Sunshine Classic Stakes at Gulfstream. Previously, the son of Tonalist scored a half-length win in the $100,000 Point of Entry Stakes at 1 ½ miles over the Belmont turf course. Umberto Rispoli will ride Shamrocket from post 10.
