Catalogue For 101st Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Sale Now Available

Fasig-Tipton has catalogued 216 selected yearlings for the 101st Saratoga Sale, to be held on Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 8 and 9, in Saratoga Springs, New York. Sessions will begin each evening at 6:30 p.m. in the Humphrey S. Finney Sales Pavilion.

“We are very bullish on the quality of this year's catalogue,” said Fasig-Tipton President Boyd Browning. “Superior sire power, elite pedigrees, and the outstanding conformation that buyers expect at Saratoga will be on offer. We have attracted an increased number of siblings to current and recent graded stakes winners this year, as well.”

The Saratoga Sale is once again the top ranked major North American yearling sale by percentage of Grade I winners and graded stakes winners, according to statistics recently released by The Blood-Horse MarketWatch.

Recent sales graduates are led by the brilliant Grade I winners Flightline (Tapit) ($1 million graduate in 2019) and Bleecker Street (Quality Road) ($400,000 graduate in 2019), undefeated on dirt and turf, respectively.

“For more than a century, the Saratoga Sale has sold the sport's biggest stars,” added Browning. “It is not only a sale to find a Grade I winner, but horses that are truly generational.”

The catalogue may now be viewed online, and will also be available via the equineline sales catalogue app. Print catalogues are now available from all Fasig-Tipton offices.

Osarus La Teste Yearling Catalogue Online

The catalogue for the upcoming Osarus La Teste Yearling Sale is online and can be viewed at www.osarus.com. The sale is scheduled for La Teste Racecourse, beginning at 1pm (local time). Heading recent graduates is Trueshan (Fr) (Planteur {Ire}), victorious in the G1 Al Shaqab Goodwood Cup and G1 Qatar Prix du Cadran. The €8,000 purchase in 2017, has accounted for £1,192,968 in career earnings. The sale has also produced Grade/Group 1 winners Sands of Mali, Fatale Bere and Medal Winner. A total of 57 sires will be represented at this year's sale, including Dabirism, Kheleyf, Goken, Intello and Kendargent.

Lammerskraal Stud Reduction Sale Catalogue Online

The catalogue for the Lammerskraal Stud Reduction Sale is now online, Bloodstock South Africa announced. Slated for Lammerskraal Stud on June 10, the sale, which includes 39 lots, will begin at noon. Breeders will be able to purchase well-bred mares in foal to stallions like Elusive Fort (SAf), Erik The Red (SAf), Futura (SAf), Gimmethegreenlight (Aus), Hawwaam (SAf), Legislate (SAf), Master Of My Fate (SAf), One World (SAf), Querari (Ger) and The United States (Ire). There are also weanlings set to go under the hammer by such sires as Erupt (Ire), Global View, Master Of My Fate, Querari, One World, Visionaire and William Longsword (SAf), as well as yearlings by Gimmethegreenlight, Lancaster Bomber, Var and Visionaire.

Sapphire Sale Launched By Tattersalls Ireland

The Tattersalls Ireland Sapphire Sale, slated for Nov. 12, was launched by the sales company on Wednesday. Comprised of Flat-bred foals, yearlings and breeding stock, it will replace the November Flat Foal and Breeding Stock Sale. Notable graduates of the sale under the previous name include G1 Matron S. heroine Champers Elysees (Ire) (Elzaam {Aus}), who sold as a foal, as well as fellow weanling alumni The Lir Jet (Ire) (Prince Of Lir {Ire}), a G2 Norfolk S. victor, and G3 Molecomb S. winner Steel Bull (Ire) (Clodovil {Ire}).

This sale is the final opportunity in 2022 to buy yearlings in Ireland. All graduates of this sale will be eligible for the €300,000 Tattersalls Ireland Super Auction Sales S. at The Curragh on Irish Champions Weekend. In addition, the vendor of the horse that wins that contest will gain a new Overlander R160 2-Stall horsebox.
