TRANQUIL ROSE (FR) (Kingman {GB}) makes her belated debut for Godolphin's all-conquering Charlie Appleby stable, having fetched €950,000 as the second-highest-priced filly at the 2021 Arqana Deauville August Yearling Sale. At that juncture, her half-brother Native Trail (GB) (Oasis Dream {GB}) had yet to test Group 1 waters and the rest is history at this stage. Connected to the Juddmonte Group 1-winning stars African Rose (GB) (Observatory) and Distant Music and to Kingman's juvenile sensation Calyx (GB) and his highly promising 2-year-old filly Coppice (GB), the February-foaled bay is joined by the stable's similarly unraced Joyful Act (GB) (Frankel {GB}), a homebred daughter of the 1000 Guineas, Irish Oaks and Yorkshire Oaks heroine Blue Bunting (Dynaformer).

Hollie Doyle Benched With Broken Elbow

Rider Hollie Doyle, who fell after her mount broke down at Wolverhampton on Monday evening, has been diagnosed with a broken elbow and will face a spell on the sidelines. A date to return to the saddle has not been set.

A winner of the G1 Prix de Diane aboard Nashwa (GB) (Frankel {GB}) in 2022, the first female rider to win a Classic was riding Archie Watson's 4-7 race favourite The Perfect Crown (Ire) (Hallowed Crown {Aus}) when he broke down on the final turn. Doyle was up after the incident and went to see a specialist on Tuesday.

Husband and fellow jockey Tom Marquand said, “She has broken her elbow. We don't really know how long she will be out for as she literally only had her MRIs last night. It is one of those fiddly things, as you could put a number on it and you'd be wrong every time anyway.

“To be honest, it is just a case of making sure she gets it right now, because you wouldn't want to stop halfway through the summer. It is frustrating.”

Besides her Classic triumph, Doyle enjoyed a 151-winner season, and was second to William Buick in the Flat Jockeys' Championship.

Hollie Doyle To See Specialist After Wolverhampton Fall

Classic-winning jockey Hollie Doyle is set to see a specialist after sustaining an arm injury in a spill at Wolverhampton on Monday.

Doyle was aboard the 4-7 favourite The Perfect Crown (Ire) (Hallowed Crown {Ire}) at Dunstall Park when her mount broke down on the final turn. The winner of the G1 Prix de Diane with Nashwa (GB) (Frankel {GB}) last season, the reinswoman will not take up her engagements at Kempton on Tuesday.

Doyle, who is the retained rider for Imad Al Sagar's Blue Diamond Stud, said, “Dr. Jerry Hill [chief medical adviser for the British Horseracing Authority] has got me in to see a specialist today to get my arm checked out, so I will know more after that.

“I can't bend my arm at the minute and I'm trying to get into Oaksey House today hopefully to see if a physio can sort it out.”
