Arqana February Mixed Sale Catalogue Sports Wildcards

Three wildcards and 10 supplements have been added to the Arqana February Mixed Sale, which already includes 356 lots.

Leading the wild cards will be Leibovitz (Ire) (lot 50) offered by Christophe Ferland. A winner over 1200 metrers at Chantilly on debut, the 3-year-old daughter of Starspangledbanner (Aus) hails from the family of Group 1 winners Park Appeal (Ire) (Ahonoora {GB}), Cape Cross (GB), and Diktat (GB), etc.

A pair of broodmares are also wildcards with Rouen Cathedral (GB) (lot 140), who is a daughter of Le Havre (Ire) out of group winner Top Toss (Ire) (Linamix {Fr}), a half-sister to dual group scorer and Group 1-placed Lesstalk In Paris (Ire) (Cape Cross {Ire}). She will be offered in foal to Sottsass (Fr) by Haras des Capucines.

The other is listed winner and G3 Prix de Psyche runner-up, Sainte Amarante (Fr) (lot 160) from the draft of Haras du Pley. The daughter of Le Havre (Ire) hails from the family of Group 1 winners Belardo (Ire) and Kistena (Fr) (Miswaki).

Supplements include the David Farlete runner, Aldufoof (GB) (lot 180B), a half-sister by Bated Breath (GB) to G2 Prix Chaudenay winner Al Qareem (Ire) (Awtaad {Ire}). Also supplemented will be Slip Sliding Away (Lot 180C), from the Fairway Consignment. The daughter of Camelot (GB) is from the family of G1 Derby/G1 King George hero Adayar (Ire) (Frankel {GB}).

Three Wildcards Added To Tattersalls December Sale

Half-sister to a pair of Group 1 winners and a colt foal by Mehmas (Ire) are late additions to the Tattersalls December Mares Sale and Tattersalls December Foal Sale.

Five-time winner Nataleena (Ire) (Nathaniel {Ire}), a half-sister to Group 1 winner Bay Bridge (GB) (New Bay {GB}) will sell through The Castlebridge Consignment as lot 1639A. Her dam, the Multiplex (GB) mare Hayyona (GB), is a half-sister to Group 2 victor Shimraan (Fr) (Rainbow Quest). She is in foal to Harry Angel (Ire), who has already sired stakes winners in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres.

Joining Nataleena for the Mares Sale is Houghton Bloodstock's Five Stars (GB) (Sea The Stars {Ire}) (lot 1639B). The sophomore is a dual winner and a half-sister to G1 Prix de Royallieu heroine Loving Dream (GB) (Gleneagles {Ire}), as well as the GI American Oaks third Amandine (GB) (Shamardal). Their dam is Kissable (Ire) (Danehill Dancer {Ire}), a listed winner and third in the G1 Moyglare Stud S.

Castlefarm Stud will consign the Mehmas colt as lot 725A. He is out of the winning Blissful Beauty (Fr) (Olympic Glory {Ire}), herself a half-sister to Group 2 hero Home Of The Brave (Ire) (Starspangledbanner {Aus}).

The Tattersalls December Sale begins with the December Yearling Sale on Nov. 21, followed by the December Foal Sale from Nov. 23-26. The December Mares Sale, featuring the Sceptre Sessions, will begin on Nov. 28 and go until Dec. 1.

Group 1-Placed Times Square Heads Latest Arqana December Wildcards

Listed winner and dual Group 1-placed Times Square (Fr) (Fr) (lot 180) has been added to Arqana's Vente d'Elevage from Dec. 3-6. Consigned by Christophe Ferland, the bay was second in the G1 Prix Marcel Boussac at two and third in the G1 French 1000 Guineas this year.

Another Five Wildcards Added To Arqana Autumn Sale

Group 3 winner Djo Francais (Fr) (Intello {Ger}) (lot 364) is one of five additional wildcards added to the Arqana Autumn Sale, which begins on Nov. 14 and ends on Nov. 17. Trained by Jean-Claude Rouget, the 4-year-old is a half-brother to three black-type performers and won the G3 Prix Bertrand du Breuil.

The other four wildcards all have ties to the jumps sphere, with Alain Couetil offering Jackpot D'Athou (Fr) (Doctor Dino {Fr}) (lot 388) and Jumper D'Ange (Fr) (Doctor Dino {Fr}) (lot 399). In The Box (Fr) (Jukebox Jury {Ire}) will sell as lot 389 for trainer Jerome Delauney; and King Turgeon (Fr) (Turgeon {Fr}) (lot 407) is part of the Gabriel Leenders draft.
