Wanamaker’s March Led by Bordeaux Belle

Broodmare prospect Bordeaux Belle (Quality Road) topped the Wanamaker's March Sale, selling for $42,500 to Jody and Michelle Huckabay. Consigned by StarLadies Racing, the unraced Bordeaux Belle is out of MSW & GSP Shanon Nicole (Majestic Warrior). Plans are to breed the 3-year-old to Upstart.

“It was very easy and is a great way to sell throughout the year with their consistent sales,” said Laurie Wolf, managing partner of StarLadies Racing, of Wanamaker's.

Wanamaker's March Sale closed Mar. 24 with a total of eight horses bringing a gross of $77,000. Entries for the next Wanamaker's sale close Apr. 19 with the horses selling Apr. 28. See wanamakers.com for more information.

Wanamakers February Catalogue Online

The catalogue for the upcoming Wanamaker's February Sale, which features 32 hips, was released Wednesday. The catalogue includes nine no-guarantee stallion seasons for 2022, as well as eight broodmares from Ron Lombardi's Mr Amore Stable and two Maryland-bred juveniles from Anchor & Hope Farm.

The on-line auction will be open for nine days, with live bidding opening at 8 a.m. ET Feb. 16 and the first listing closing Feb. 24 at 5 p.m. Subsequent listings will end in three-minute increments.

Wanamaker’s Releases January Sale Catalog

Wanamaker's has released its January Sale catalog, comprised of 33 hips, including 12 no-guarantee stallion seasons for 2022. Highlights of the catalog include a three-horse offering of broodmares from McMahon Thoroughbreds of Saratoga, led by Credit Analyst, an unraced 4-year-old daughter of Central Banker currently in-foal to Goldencents.

Proceeds from the 12 stallion seasons on offer will be donated to Love My Pitties, a non-profit rescue, sanctuary, and rehabilitation program for dogs coming from high kill and rural shelters.
