‘A Ton Of Class’: First Foal Is A Filly For Three Chimneys’ Volatile

Three Chimneys Farm announced Monday that Volatile sired his first foal, a filly, at Mallory Farm.

Volatile is a Grade 1 winner of the Alfred G. Vanderbilt, and he ran the year's fastest Beyer of 2020. His eight-length romp in the Aristides, run in 107.57, earned him a Beyer speed figure of 112.

Bred by Torie Gladwell, the chestnut filly boasts over 20 stakes performers in the first three dams, tailing from the immediate family of Kentucky Oaks winner Summerly.

Gladwell commented, “We sold her dam, who was drop dead gorgeous, to Bob Baffert as a yearling. We were fortunate enough to be able to get her back. The filly has the same qualities as the mare, great looking, well balanced, full of substance, with a ton of class. We couldn't be more delighted.”
