Freedom Speaks Fastest At OBS Winter Mixed Sale Under Tack Show

Freedom Speaks, Hip 253 in the OBS Winter Mixed Sale, turned in the fastest three-eights workout at the under tack show Monday in a record time of :31 2/5 seconds. Consigned by Best A Luck Farm as agent, the newly minted 3-year-old filly by American Freedom out of the Macho Uno mare Wicked Speed, a half-sister to Horse of the Year Fatal Bullet.

Sonic Thrust, Hip 268, turned in a breeze in :31 4/5 seconds. Consigned by Grassroots Training and Sales, the Twirling Candy colt is a half-brother to multiple stakes-placed Brimstone Island and out of the Broad Brush mare Broad Sound, who is out of Grade 2 Black-Eyed Susan winner Miss Legality.
Not Mercy, Hip 300, went in :32 flat. The filly by Laoban is out of the winning Sea of Secrets mare Mercy's Delight and from the family of European Champion Rose Bowl. He is consigned by Coastal Equine (Jesse Hoppel) as agent.
Calculated, cataloged as Hip 278, breezed in :32 1/5 seconds. The Klimt colt is out of the Grade 3-placed Hennessy mare Dos Lunas also from the Grassroots Training and Sales consignment.
Aggrandize, Hip 358, also worked in :32 1/5 seconds. The son of Exaggerator is out of the Orb mare Sightseeing Sis, a daughter of Grade 1-placed Resort. He is consigned by Journeyman Bloodstock Services (Brent and Crystal Fernung) as agent.

Four horses stopped the clock in :32 2/5 seconds.

Hip 258, a filly by Jimmy Creed out of Zaza by Midnight Lute is consigned by Coastal Equine (Jesse Hoppel) as agent and is from the family of Grade 2 winner Indian Firewater.
Hip 265, a daughter of Astern (AUS) out of Belle Amidst by Bellamy Road, a half-sister to Grade 3 winner Atoned is consigned by Julie Davies as agent.
Hip 273 is a gelding by Street Sense also from the Coastal Equine (Jesse Hoppel) consignment out of the stakes-placed Exchange Rate mare, Corsage.
Hip 314 is a Runhappy filly from the James Layden consignment out of the stakes-placed Ghostzapper mare Puzzling, herself a half-sister to Grade 1 winner Dancing Forever.

There are a number of horses cataloged in the Horses of Racing Age session that have run since the catalog; the highlight of which is stakes-placed Fifth Anniversary who won to debut her 2022 campaign, setting a new course record in her Jan. 19 start at Gulfstream. Cataloged as Hip 349 at the OBS Winter Mixed Sale, the filly by Runhappy is from the family of multiple Grade 1 winner and Triple Crown sire Pioneerof the Nile. She is out of the Hard Spun mare My Lady Lauren and is consigned by Stuart Morris as agent. Watch her race here.

The sale begins Tuesday, Jan. 25 at 11 a.m. with Hips 1-206 cataloged in the Preferred session. Horses of Racing Age sell immediately after, cataloged as Hips 251-365.

The Open session will take place Wednesday, Jan. 26 at 11 a.m. with Hips 401-649.

Speightster Colt Fastest At Fasig-Tipton Santa Anita Under-Tack Show

A colt by WinStar Farm resident Speightster turned in the fastest furlong of the Fasig-Tipton Santa Anita 2-Year-Olds In Training Sale under-tack show on Monday, covering the distance in :10 2/5 seconds.

The bay colt, offered as Hip 109, is out of the stakes-placed Artie Schiller mare Pankhurst, from the family of Grade 1-placed Apassionato, and Grade 2-placed Mama's Pro and Pro Prado. L. G. consigns the Kentucky-bred colt, as agent.

Monday's fastest juvenile at a quarter-mile was Hip 54, a first-crop Cupid filly who covered the distance in :22 flat.

The dark bay or brown filly is out of the winning Medaglia d'Oro mare Wild Mocha, who is the dam of three winners from five foals to race. Grade 2 winners Passion For Action and Payton d'Oro are in the filly's extended family. L. G. also consigned the day's fastest quarter-mile horse, as agent.

Shackleford Filly Fastest At Fourth OBS June Sale Under Tack Session

Hip No. 573, a daughter of Shackleford consigned by Navas Equine, worked a quarter in :20 3/5 to post the fastest work at the distance at the fourth session of the Under Tack Show for Ocala Breeders' Sales Company's 2021 June Sale of 2-Year-Olds and Horses of Racing Age.

The bay filly is out of Moondancer, by Cuvee, from the family of grade one stakes winner Kitten's Dumplings.

Hip No. 637, a chestnut filly by Fed Biz consigned by Omar Ramirez Bloodstock, Agent, turned in a quarter in :21 flat. She's out of Phantom Phasr, by Ghostzapper, from the family of Grade 1 winner Schossberg.

There were seven eighths in :10 flat.

Hip No. 570, Neon Summer, a dark bay or brown filly consigned by Hidden Brook, Agent for Patricia Generazio, is out of Mommie's Summer, by In Summation, from the family of graded stakes winner Unreal Turn.
Hip No. 603, consigned by RiceHorse Stable (Brandon & Ali Rice), is a chestnut colt by Central Banker out of Nine Taps, by Pleasant Tap, a daughter of stakes winner Nine Pines.

Hip No. 393, a son of Arrogate consigned by Top Line Sales LLC, Agent, sped a quarter in :20 4/5 to post the fastest work at the distance at the third session of the Under Tack Show for Ocala Breeders' Sales Company's 2021 June Sale of 2-Year-Olds and Horses of Racing Age.

The dark bay or brown colt is out of stakes winner Hero's Amor, by Street Sense, a full sister to graded stakes placed stakes winner Threefiveindia.

Hip No. 447, a daughter of Frosted also consigned by Top Line Sales LLC, Agent, turned in the session's fastest eighth, clocked in :9 4/5. The gray or roan filly is out of graded stakes winner Jody Slew, a half sister to stakes winner Cape of Bradford.

Hip No. 480, a daughter of Honor Code consigned by 30-30 Ranch, worked the day's fastest three eighths, stopping the timer in :33 flat. The bay filly is out of stakes winner La Piba, by Lookin At Lucky, a half sister to stakes winner Mobil Solution.
