OBS Winter Mixed Sale Starts Monday

The Under Tack Show for the Ocala Breeders' Sales Company's (OBS) Winter Mixed Sale's Horses of Racing Age Section is set for Monday, Jan. 23 at 9:00 a.m. E.T. with 148 horses cataloged.

The event will be streamed live via the OBS website, with the Winter Mixed Sale searchable catalog available there as well. Thoroughbred Daily News will also be streaming the event on our website.

OBS offers online bidding during the Winter Mixed Sale. Buyers may register to gain approval, then with their credentials they may access the OBS Bidding Screen. Click here, for complete information on this process.

OBS Expands March 2-Year-Old Sale

An increase in entries has precipitated The Ocala Breeders' Sales Company to expand the 2023 March Sale of 2-Year-Olds in Training. The Under Tack Show will expand to four sessions, beginning Tuesday, Mar. 14 and continuing through Friday, Mar. 17. All sessions begin at 8:00 a.m. There will now be three sale sessions, beginning Monday, Mar. 20 and continuing through Wednesday, Mar. 22. All sessions get underway at 11:00 a.m.

The sale and Under Tack Show will be streamed live via the OBS website at obssales.com. The catalog will be available after the conclusion of the Winter Mixed Sale. For more information regarding the March Sale, please call (352) 237-2154.

Trio of Juveniles Share Bullet Work at OBS

A trio of juvenile fillies worked a bullet quarter mile in :20 4/5 during the final session of the Ocala Breeders' Sales Company's June 2-Year-Olds-in-Training Sale Saturday. Those fillies were:

Nine 2-year-olds shared the fastest furlong time of :10 flat. They were

Irish War Cry Filly Fastest at OBS Friday

A filly from the first crop of Irish War Cry (Hip 795) put in the fastest work of the day Friday during the fifth session of the Ocala Breeders' Sales Company's June 2-Year-Olds in Training Sale under-tack show. Consigned by Thorostock LLC, she completed the breeze in :9 4/5, making her just the second juvenile so far to clock a furlong in under :10 flat.

A trio of juveniles worked a quarter in a bullet :20 4/5.
