LM Stallions Signs On Roseman

The well-bred, Group 1 runner-up Roseman (Ire) (Kingman {GB}-Go Lovely Rose {Ire}, by Pivotal {GB}) has been recruited to stand at LM Stallions at March Hare Stud for 2022.

A €650,000 Goffs Orby yearling purchase by trainer Roger Varian on behalf of Sheikh Mohammed Obaid, Roseman broke his maiden in April of his 3-year-old campaign before finishing runner-up in the Listed Heron S. After taking the Listed Marshall S. over that same mile trip to conclude his season, Roseman returned to run three times in Group 1 company at four last year, including when second to The Revenant (GB) (Dubawi {Ire}) in the G1 Queen Elizabeth II S. Roseman is out of the multiple stakes producer Go Lovely Rose, who is a winning full-sister to the G1 Prix Jacques le Marois and G1 Coronation S. scorer Immortal Verse (Ire), dam of this season's G1 Cheveley Park S. winner Tenebrism (Caravaggio) and also from the deep family of champion sprinter Last Tycoon (Ire).

Muhaarar On The Move To France

Muhaarar (GB) (Oasis Dream {GB}), who notched his first Group 1 win as a sire with the one-two in last weekend's G1 British Champions Fillies & Mares S. with Eshaada (GB) and Albaflora (GB), will stand next season at Haras des Faunes near Bordeaux, Racing Post reports.

A Shadwell homebred, Muhaarar was champion sprinter of 2015, when he won the G1 Commonwealth Cup, G1 July Cup, G1 Prix Maurice de Gheest and G1 British Champions Sprint S. as a 3-year-old. Muhaarar is responsible for six stakes winners, also including Group 3 winners Mujbar (GB) and Paix (Ire) in addition to Eshaada and Albaflora.

Snowfall’s Brother Starts At Dundalk

Observations on the European Racing Scene turns the spotlight on the best European races of the day, highlighting well-pedigreed horses early in their careers, horses of note returning to action and young runners that achieved notable results in the sales ring. Today's Observations features a full-brother to multiple Classic scorer Snowfall (Jpn).

1.05 Nottingham, Mdn, £14,000, 2yo, c/g, 8f 75yT
KALAHARI PRINCE (IRE) (New Approach {Ire}) is one of five Godolphin representatives lining up for this “Golden Horn Maiden” won 12 months ago by Adayar (Ire) (Frankel {GB}), and one of a pair of Charlie Appleby-trained newcomers, with William Buick in the saddle. A half-brother to the listed scorer and dual Group 3-placed Duneflower (Ire) (Dubawi {Ire}), the January-foaled chestnut is joined by the stable's Untold Mystery (Ire) (Dubawi {Ire}), a half-brother to the G1 Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere winner Royal Marine (Ire) (Raven's Pass).

5.00 Dundalk, Mdn, €14,000, 2yo, 7f (AWT)
NEWFOUNDLAND (IRE) (Deep Impact {Jpn}) is the second foal out of Coolmore's G3 Give Thanks S. scorer Best In the World (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}), whose first turned out to be this May-foaled colt's sensational full-sister Snowfall (Jpn). With the connection to that G1 Epsom and Irish Oaks heroine and to Found (Ire), the Ballydoyle newcomer will probably need middle-distances in time unlike the Juddmonte debutante Trent (GB) (Kantharos), a Ger Lyons-trained fellow debutante who is out of a half to the G1 1000 Guineas winner Special Duty (GB) (Hennessy).

Manning Suffers Broken Collarbone

Jockey Kevin Manning suffered a broken collarbone in a fall at Galway on Monday. The 54-year-old rider, whose regular mounts this season have included the Classic-winning Poetic Flare (Ire) (Dawn Approach {Ire}) and Mac Swiney (Ire) (New Approach {Ire}) for his father-in-law Jim Bolger, sustained the injury when his mount, Dublin Journal (Ire) (Teofilo {Ire}), slipped up after a furlong of the Galway Handicap. Dublin Journal also races as a homebred for Bolger and his wife, Jackie.

“He's broken his collarbone, but it's a straight-forward break, so it shouldn't be too long,” said his agent Kevin O'Ryan. “Thankfully, everything else is OK.”
