Monmouth Partners with SeatGeek

New Jersey's Monmouth Park has inked a multi-year deal with SeatGeek, a mobile-focused ticket platform, to serve as its exclusive ticketing partner. Monmouth's racing meet kicks off May 28 and continues through Sept. 26. Although general admission is free throughout the season–excluding Haskell Day–SeatGeek will handle tickets for box seats, parterre rentals, the Dining Club, the Lady's Secret Café, and the picnic buffet. SeatGeek will also handle Haskell tickets for the $1 million-race that will be held July 17.

“Monmouth Park is excited to have this long-term partnership with SeatGeek,” said Bill Knauf, Monmouth's vice president of business operations. “Their technology and mobile platform are an ideal fit for Monmouth Park moving forward, especially as we look to move into a more mobile-based space.”

SeatGeek's technology allows fans to sell, receive, and transfer tickets through mobile devices. In addition, groups can transfer tickets to their guests on a mobile device, which eliminates the need for physical tickets.

Belmont Festival Tickets on Sale May 6

The New York Racing Association (NYRA) announced Tuesday that a limited number of tickets for the 2021 Belmont Stakes Racing Festival will go on sale to the public on Thursday, May 6 starting at 10 a.m. ET via Ticketmaster.com. The three-day festival kicks off Thursday, June 3 and is headlined, of course, by the GI Belmont S. June 5. NYRA will offer advance pre-sale opportunities to 2020 Belmont Stakes ticket buyers, along with NYRA Bets Elite, Preferred and Bronze members, beginning on Wednesday, May 5. Eligible groups will be notified via email. With New York State set to expand capacity for outdoor sports and entertainment venues to 33% starting May 19, Belmont Park will be able to accommodate approximately 11,000 ticketed spectators. Ticketed inventory will be limited to reserved seats and hospitality areas–there will be no general admission tickets sold at this time. All ticketed spectators will be required to submit proof of completed vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test result in order to enter Belmont Park.

Breeders’ Cup At Del Mar Tickets Go On Sale July 16

Breeders' Cup announced tickets for the 2021 Breeders' Cup World Championships at Del Mar will go on sale to the public on Friday, July 16, at Noon ET / 9:00 a.m. PT. The 2021 World Championships, which will be held on Friday, Nov. 5, and Saturday, Nov. 6, will mark the second time that the Breeders' Cup will be hosted at Del Mar, the iconic Southern California racing venue.

After making the difficult but necessary decision to proceed without fans in attendance at Keeneland in 2020, Breeders' Cup is eager to welcome fans back to the 2021 World Championships in accordance with state and local health and safety guidelines. Additional information regarding seating options and ticket pricing for this year's event will be announced next month.

Tickets for the 2021 Breeders' Cup World Championships at Del Mar, which will be staged Nov. 5-6, will go on sale to the public Friday, July 16 at Noon ET / 9:00 a.m. PT. In consideration of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Breeders' Cup is working in tandem with Del Mar and local and state health officials to ensure attendees' health and safety. Conducted at Del Mar without fans in 2020, the Breeders' Cup will be held for the second time at the seaside oval.
