Saturday’s 161stQueen’s Plate at Woodbine brings together the top Canadian-bred 3-year-olds for what is an annual high point of racing north of the border. The $1 million Queen’s Plate is the oldest continuously run race in North America and is the first leg of the Canadian Triple Crown, followed by the Prince of Wales Stakes at Fort Erie and then the Breeders’ Stakes on turf at Woodbine.
