Apparently, there is a multitude of 3-year-old filly sprinters looking for graded stakes honors in their own age bracket before the year ends. That would explain why Saturday’s $400,000 Lexus Raven Run Stakes, a Grade 2 stakes at Keeneland, attracted an overflow field of 15 that includes three also-eligible entrants.
