Mt. Brilliant Family Foundation Sponsors TCA’s Stallion Season Auction Again

The Mt. Brilliant Family Foundation has signed on once again as the presenting sponsor for the Thoroughbred Charities of America's upcoming 34th Annual Stallion Season Auction to be held Wednesday, Jan. 3 through Sunday, Jan. 7, the non-profit said in a release Friday.

“We greatly appreciate the continued support of Mt. Brilliant,” said Erin Halliwell executive director of TCA. “The Stallion Season Auction is vital to our organization as it allows us to make grants to qualified organizations across the country. Mt. Brilliant's support of the auction and TCA are a testament to their strong commitment to our mission of assisting Thoroughbreds and those who care for them.”

The online version of the auction opens at 9 a.m. ET Jan. 3, runs through 4 p.m. ET on Friday, Jan. 5 and will offer nearly 200 seasons to stallions standing in 14 states and Canada.

While the majority will be offered during the online auction, several seasons will be sold in the live event on Sunday, Jan. 7 at Harper Hall in Lexington, Kentucky. Those include Cody's Wish, Elite Power, Life is Good, Constitution, Nyquist, Quality Road, Flightline, Forte, Good Magic and Taiba.

Bidders or their authorized agents may attend the live auction or they can email ehalliwell@tca.org to register online or by telephone. A silent auction will also be offered. All non-season items will be available via online bidding.

Not This Time Season Added As Thoroughbred Charities Of America’s Stallion Season Auction Gets Underway

Thoroughbred Charities of America announced today that the 32nd Annual Stallion Season Auction is now underway. It is the largest annual fundraiser for the nonprofit organization.

Bidding on over 200 stallion seasons from 16 states began today on Starquine.com and will continue through Friday, Jan. 7, with staggered ending times beginning at 4:30 p.m. EST. Seasons available in the online auction include Audible, Basin, Candy Ride, McKinzie, More Than Ready, Speightstown, and Volatile. A full list of seasons is available here.

Most of the seasons will sell during the online auction, however 10 select seasons will be sold at the 'Tis the Seasons Celebration on Sunday, Jan. 9 at 5:30 p.m. at Grand Reserve in Lexington, Ky.

Select seasons will include a recent donation of a no guarantee season to Not This Time as well as seasons to Bolt d'Oro, Charlatan, City of Light, Constitution, Liam's Map, Maxfield (with 2023 breed back), Nyquist (with 2023 breed back), Quality Road, and Yaupon (with 2023 breed back).

Bidders or their authorized agents may bid on select seasons by attending the event in-person or they may email ecrady@tca.org to register to bid online. Non-season items including a John Deere Gator, accommodations at the Hill 'n' Dale Farms at Xalapa “tree house,” a wall box and stall webbing from Charlie Whittingham's barn, and more will also be offered in the live auction. An online silent auction of non-season items including halters worn by Life is Good, Curlin, Charlatan, Tapit, Knicks Go and more will be offered. A list of silent auction items is available here.

TCA Annual Stallion Season Auction To Include Seasons From Curlin, Constitution

Thoroughbred Charities of America announced today that the 31st Annual Stallion Season Auction will begin on Wednesday, Jan. 6 and conclude on Tuesday, Jan. 12. It is the largest annual fundraiser for the nonprofit organization.

The fundraiser opens with an online auction of stallion seasons beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 6 and continues through 4:30 p.m. EST on Friday, Jan. 8. Over 150 seasons will be available for online bidding including Ghostzapper, Liam's Map, Palace Malice, More Than Ready, Speightstown, and Gun Runner. A full list of seasons is available here.

The majority of the seasons will sell during the online auction however select seasons including Blame, Constitution, Curlin, Game Winner, Laoban, Nyquist (with 2022 breed back), and Quality Road will be sold in a live auction in the Keeneland Sales Pavilion on Tuesday, Jan. 12 at the close of session two, book one of the January sale.
