Tattersalls October Auction Stakes Attracts Full Field

A field of 22 runners, anchored by favourite Zoulu Chief (GB) (Zousar {Aus}), has been drawn for the £150,000 Tattersalls October Auction S. over six furlongs on Newmarket's Rowley Mile on Saturday, Oct. 7.

Trained by Heather Main, the colt is bidding for a hat trick of wins, after earlier successes at Windsor and York. He was a 27,000gns Tattersalls October Yearling Sale Book 3 purchase from Whatton Manor Stud.

Another runner of interest is Tom Ward's Woodhay Wonder (GB) (Tamayuz {GB}), who has already claimed the £100,000 Tattersalls Somerville Auction S. over Newmarket's July Course. She was a 26,000gns Somerville yearling when picked up by Stroud Coleman and Ward from Genesis Green Stud.

Ward said, “Woodhay Wonder has been well since Newmarket. I have been happy with her progress and feel she is still improving”.

John Ferguson saddles Drama (GB) (Havana Grey {GB}), who was a 27,000gns Somerville graduate from the consignment of Felley Priory Stud.
