AARU (c, 2, Malibu Moon–Ginza, by Kitten's Joy), a $53,000 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky October yearling and $50,000 OBS April juvenile, is out of a daughter of the unraced Unfold the Rose (Catienus), whose daughter Stephanie's Kitten (Kitten's Joy) won the GI Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf in 2011 and four years later took out the GI Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf before selling for $550,000 at the Fasig-Tipton November Sale. Unfold the Rose is also the dam of MGSW dirt marathoner Heywoods Beach (Speightstown). T O GRANVILLE (c, 3, Lea–All in Fun, by Tapit) has made a spectacular start to his career, with three wins from as many starts, all at this distance, including a 2-win allowance success at Niigata when last seen Aug. 27 (see below, SC 15). Purchased for $125,000 in utero by Winchester Farm at Keeneland November in 2019, the chestnut is out of a stakes-placed full-sister to the dual graded-stakes placed juvenile Tight Ten and his third dam is dual Grade I winner Fleet Renee (Seattle Slew). Takeshi Yokoyama, who rides favored Sol Oriens (Jpn) (Kitasan Black {Jpn}) in the race immediately after this, takes over at the controls. B-Mishima Stud Ltd (KY)

Magnier in 2017 who was stakes-placed in Ireland before heading to the U.S. to be part of this Triple Crown winner's second book. Quote, a half-sister to German Group 3 winner Samba Brazil (Ger) (Teofilo {Ire}), produced this colt Jan. 14, was bred to Maximum Security shortly thereafter and was exported to Japan. She produced a filly last April and a Lord Kanaloa (Jpn) filly this season. Christophe Lemaire rides from the rail. The stakes-placed All In Fun, a full-sister to MGSP Tight Ten, was acquired with this colt in utero for $125,000 at the 2019 Keeneland November Sale. ROUGE STUNNING (f, 2, Into Mischief–Boyne Beauty, by Giant's Causeway) opened her account at first asking with a comfortable victory going a mile at Chukyo July 2 (video, SC 7). The bay filly's unraced dam, a $700,000 purchase by Nobutaka Tada at Fasig-Tipton November in 2020, is a daughter of MSW/GSP Bubbler (Distorted Humor), the dam of champion Arrogate (Unbridled's Song) and SW Osare (Medaglia d'Oro).

Bennett on behalf of breeder Charles Fipke for $625,000 in foal to Uncle Mo at the 2016 KEENOV sale. The pensioned Careless Jewel is the dam of Reframe (American Pharoah), who made up for some single-minded ways to become a listed winner of over $670,000 in Japan. B-Charles Fipke (KY)

T O GRANVILLE (c, 3, Lea–All in Fun, by Tapit) belied odds of 34-1 to score a visually impressive three-length victory when debuted over a mile at Niigata May 20 (see below, SC 10) and gets a positive rider change to Mirai Iwata for this second go. The stakes-placed All in Fun, a sister to MGSP Tight Ten, was purchased by Winchester Farm for $125,000 with this colt in utero at the 2019 Keeneland November Sale and has since been exported to Japan, where she foaled a Justify filly in 2021.
