Fasig-Tipton has cataloged an additional two supplemental entries to its 2021 Kentucky Winter Mixed Sale.

These entries are catalogued as hips 670 and 671 and may now be viewed online. Print versions of supplemental entries will be available on the sales grounds at sale time.

  • Maqboola (Hip 670): Five-year-old mare is a half-sister to undefeated 3-year-old filly Zaajel, impressive winner of the Grade 3 Forward Gal Stakes at Gulfstream Park this past Saturday. She is also a half-sister to Ajaaweed, who placed in the G2 Remsen Stakes at two, and the G3 Sam F. Davis Stakes last year at three. A multiple winner herself, Maqboola is offered in foal to Champion Good Magic by Hunter Valley Farm, agent.
  • Gold Standard (Hip 671): Five-year-old daughter of Medaglia d'Oro was placed in the G3 Remington Park Oaks and G3 Comely Stakes at three. In the Remington Park Oaks, she was second, beaten just a half-length, by multiple graded stakes winner and millionaire Lady Apple. She finished nearly eight lengths clear of the third-place finisher. A four-time winner of $269,384, she is from the immediate family of Grade 1 winners Dream Supreme and Spinning Round. She is offered as a broodmare prospect by Gainesway, agent for Stonestreet and LNJ Foxwoods.

The Kentucky Winter Mixed Sale will be held on Monday and Tuesday, February 8-9, in Lexington, Ky. Sessions will begin each day at 10 am.

  • Babybel (Hip 665): Four-year-old filly is a half-sister to exciting 3-year-old colt Caddo River, a 10-plus length winner of the Smarty Jones Stakes at Oaklawn on Jan. 22. Caddo River will make his next anticipated start in Oaklawn's Grade 2 Rebel Stakes. A winner at two and three, she is offered as a broodmare prospect by James M. Herberner, Jr., agent.
  • Samandah (Hip 669): Five-year-old daughter of Pioneerof the Nile is a three-parts sister to Mnasek, who finished second in UAE 1000 Guineas at Meydan on Jan. 28.  By Pioneerof the Nile, she is out of graded stakes winner and track record setter Washington Bridge. She is offered as a broodmare prospect by Paramount Sales, agent.

  • Shieldmaiden (Hip 589): Daughter of Smart Strike is the dam of Fair Maiden, recent winner of the Grade 1 La Brea Stakes at Santa Anita. She is from the immediate family of Grade 1 winners Secret Status, Private Status, and Dunbar Road. Offered in foal to Passion for Action, she is consigned by South Point Sales Agency, agent.

Fifteen Horses Supplemented To 2021 Keeneland January Sale

The War Front filly Burning Brow; stakes winner Ava K., in foal to Uncle Mo; Jen's Rules, in foal to Connect; stakes-winning filly Mucho Amor and a colt by City of Light foaled in 2020 are among the 15 horses in the latest round of supplements to Keeneland's 2021 January Horses of All Ages Sale, which covers four sessions from Jan. 11-14.

Keeneland will continue to accept approved supplements until the January Sale begins.

Supplemented to the opening session of the two-day Book 1 are:

  • Burning Brow (Hip 400C), a daughter of War Front foaled in 2018. Cataloged as a racing or broodmare prospect and consigned by Denali Stud, agent, she is out of Group 2 winner and Group 1-placed Laughing Lashes, by Mr. Greeley. Her family includes Group 1 winner Palace Episode and Group/Grade 2 winners Duke of Hazzard and Tejano Run.
  • Ava K. (Hip 400D), a stakes-winning daughter of Dixie Union in foal to Uncle Mo. Foaled in 2008, Ava K. is out of stakes winner Bedside Manner and is a half-sister to Grade 2 winner Skyway. She is consigned by St George Sales, agent.
