Dam of Going to Vegas Headlines Early Fasig November Supplements

Fasig-Tipton has catalogued seven initial supplemental entries to its 2021 November Sale, which are catalogued as hips 260-266, and include:

  • Hard to Resist (Hip 264): A stakes-winning daughter of Johannesburg, she is the dam of Going to Vegas (Goldencents), recent winner of the GI Rodeo Drive S. at Santa Anita. A leader in the California female turf division with three graded stakes win in 2021, Going to Vegas is pointing for the GI Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Turf for her next start. Hard to Resist is in foal to leading California sire Grazen. She will be consigned by Taylor Made Sales Agency, agent.
  • Caravel (Hip 265): Brilliant 4-year-old daughter of Mizzen Mast has captured three stakes victories this year sprinting on the turf. Among these wins was a dominant score in the GIII Caress S. at Saratoga. The gray also earned a Grade I stakes placing when facing males in the Highlander S. at Woodbine in August. A registered Pennsylvania-bred, she has five career stakes wins and current earnings of $400,169. Consigned as a racing/broodmare prospect by ELiTE, agent.

This group of supplemental entries also includes weanlings by Liam's Map, Uncle Mo, Munnings, War Front and Bolt d'Oro.

These entries may now be viewed online and will also be available in the equineline sales catalogue app. Print versions of all supplemental entries will be available on-site at Fasig-Tipton at sale time.

Fasig-Tipton will continue to accept approved November Sale supplemental entries through the Breeders' Cup. The November Sale will be held Tuesday, Nov. 9, in Lexington, Kentucky starting at 2 p.m.

Supplemental Entries Added To Texas Summer Sale

The 2021 Texas Summer Yearling and Horses of Racing Age Sale will feature five supplemental hips, all added to the body of the catalog and available online in the interactive catalog at www.TTAsales.com.

The Texas Thoroughbred Association will provide a supplement paper copy of these hips available at the sales pavilion before and during the sale. Additionally, the hips will automatically be updated and added into the Equineline catalog iPad app.

The supplement hips are:

  • Hip 13: B C by Midnight Lute out of Moneybru; consigned by Stuart Morris, Agent for Highclere, Inc.
  • Hip 85: Ch F by California Chrome out of Salty Mo; consigned by Craig Singer
  • Hip 117: B F by California Chrome out of Better Be Better; consigned by Craig Singer
  • Hip 185: Gr/Ro F by Cupid out of Colombe; consigned by KP Sales, Agent
  • Hip 243: DkB/Br F by Liaison out of Raffie's Treasure; consigned by Ellen Caines, Agent

“We're excited about adding these supplemented horses to our already diverse and strong group of yearlings for this sale,” sales director Tim Boyce said. “There's been quite a bit of interest from prospective buyers this year, thanks in part to the breeders, owners and consignors who have entered quality yearlings. I am looking forward to getting the horses on the grounds at Lone Star Park and our sale on Aug. 30.”

The supplement paper catalog will be available at and around the sale pavilion at Lone Star Park. The horses in the supplement are already added into the interactive online catalog available at www.TTAsales.com. Online bidding will be available for the sale, and the deadline to register for online bidding is Monday, Aug. 23.

The sale will be held at Lone Star Park on Aug. 30 at 10 a.m. CT and will be livestreamed on the sale website.

Maiden Winner Mr. Briggs Among Wanamaker’s July Sale Supplemental Entries

Wanamaker's has announced four supplemental entries for their upcoming auction on July 29, highlighted by last-out maiden winner Mr. Briggs.

A son of Super Saver, Mr. Briggs scored an impressive wire-to-wire victory on July 25 at Monmouth Park, where he posted his second consecutive 16 Ragozin and a 73 Beyer Speed Figure.

New entries also include two unraced 2-year-olds by More Than Ready and War Front, as well as the once-raced racing/broodmare prospect Merry Mischief, by leading sire Into Mischief.

Fasig-Tipton has catalogued an additional nine entries to its July Selected Horses of Racing Age Sale, and an additional two entries to its July Breeding Stock Sale.

July Selected Horses of Racing Age

The latest entries are catalogued as hips 664-673, which may now be viewed online.  They include:

  • Assertive Style (Hip 665): Three-year-old daughter of Nyquist won an allowance race at Indiana Grand on June 30 by more than five lengths. Consigned by James B. Keogh (Grovendale), agent for Machmer Hall.
  • Cibollian (Hip 667): Four-year-old colt won an allowance race at Churchill Downs in his most recent start on June 18. From the family of G1 winners Wicked Whisper and Point of Honor, he is consigned by Buck Pond Farm, agent.
  • Kisses So Sweet (Hip 668): Indiana-bred 2-year-old daughter of Klimt won a maiden special weight at Indiana Grand by 3 1/2 lengths on July 6. Consigned by John Ennis Training, agent.
  • Vodka N Water (Hip 673): Two-year-old colt finished second in his most recent start, the Grade 3 Bashford Manor Stakes, at Churchill Downs on June 26. He also finished second in Kentucky Juvenile Stakes at Churchill on April 28. Consigned by Taylor Made Sales Agency, agent.

July Breeding Stock

Newest entries are catalogued as hips 452 and 453, and may now be viewed online:

  • Catharsis (Hip 452): Young stakes placed daughter of Kantharos, carrying her first foal by Violence. Consigned by Taylor Made Sales Agency, agent for Town & Country Horse Farms LLC.
  • She Takes Flight (Hip 453): Three-year-old daughter of leading broodmare sire Bernardini, from the family of Champion Soaring Free. Offered as a broodmare prospect by Paramount Sales, agent.

The July Breeding Stock and July Selected Horses of Racing Age sales will take place on Monday, July 12, at Fasig-Tipton's Newtown Paddocks facility in Lexington, Ky. The July Breeding Stock portion will begin at 2 p.m., and July Selected Horses of Racing Age session will begin immediately after the Breeding Stock auction has concluded.

On the following day – Tuesday, July 13 – Fasig-Tipton will conduct The July Sale of Selected Yearlings beginning at 10 a.m.

Online bidding and phone bidding will be available for all sales.
