15 Horses Supplemented to KEEJAN

A total of 15 horses have been supplemented to Keeneland’s 2021 January Horses of All Ages Sale, Jan. 11-14. Keeneland will continue to accept approved supplements until the January Sale begins. For the complete list of supplements, visit www.keeneland.com.

Supplemented to Day 1 of Book 1:

  • Burning Brow (2, f, by War Front) (Hip 400C) – Cataloged as a racing or broodmare prospect and consigned by Denali Stud, agent, she is out of Group 2 winner and Group 1-placed Laughing Lashes (Mr. Greeley). Her family includes Group 1 winner Palace Episode and Group 2/Grade II winners Duke of Hazzard and Tejano Run.
  • Ava K. (12, m, by Dixie Union) (Hip 400D) – the stakes winner, in foal to Uncle Mo, is out of stakes winner Bedside Manner and is a half-sister to Grade II winner Skyway. She is consigned by St George Sales, agent.
  • Jen’s Rules (4, f, by Street Sense) (Hip 400E) – in foal to Connect. Consigned by Bluewater Sales, agent, she is a half-sister to stakes winner Foxy Danseur, dam of Grade III winner Ever So Clever, and from the family of Grade III winner In Conference.
  • Twitterpated (3, f, by Stormy Atlantic) (Hip 400F), a full-sister to Grade I winner Stormy Lucy. Consigned by South Point Sales, agency, and cataloged as a broodmare prospect, the filly is from the family of 2020 Grade II winner Big Runner and earlier Grade III winner Moonwalk.

Supplemented to Day 2 of Book 1:

  • 2020 Colt by Mendelssohn (Hip 800H) – from the family of Grade I winner Bellamy Road and Grade III winner Calibrachoa. Consigned by Warrendale Sales, agent, he is out of Fort Afleet, by Northern Afleet.
  • Mucho Amor (4, f, by Mucho Macho Man) (Hip 800J) -Consigned by Eaton Sales, agent, as a racing or broodmare prospect, the stakes winner is out of stakes-placed Raucous Lady (Rock Hard Ten), and from the family of stakes winners John the Magician and Charming Ruckus.
  • 2020 Colt by City of Light (Hip 800K) – out of Grade III-placed Banree (Macho Uno). Consigned by Eaton Sales, agent, he is from the family of Grade III winners Gloryzapper and Her Royalty.
  • Twirling Hearts (2, f, by Twirling Candy) (Hip 800L) – cataloged as a broodmare prospect, she is consigned by Warrendale Sales, agent. From the family of Grade I winner Leave Me Alone and Grade II winner Candy Boy.

Nine Supplemental Entries Added To Keeneland January Sale

Surrender, dam of recent Grade 3 Bob Hope Stakes winner Red Flag who is in foal to Catholic Boy; Red Flag's half-brother foaled in 2020; and Exotic Notion, a half-sister to multiple Grade 1 winner City of Light who is in foal to Quality Road, are among the nine horses supplemented to Book 1 of the 2021 Keeneland January Horses of All Ages Sale, which covers four sessions from Jan. 11-14.

Keeneland will continue to accept approved supplements until the January Sale begins.

Supplemented to the opening session on the first day of the two-day Book 1 are:

  • This Just In (Hip 400A), a daughter of War Front foaled in 2017 and consigned by Taylor Made Sales Agency, agent. Cataloged as a racing or broodmare prospect, she is out of the Smart Strike mare Verdura and from the family of Group 1 winner War Command.
  • Wicked Ride (Hip 400B), a daughter of Candy Ride (ARG) who is a half-sister to Grade 1 winner Wickedly Perfect and is in foal to Take Charge Indy. Taylor Made consigned the mare, who was foaled in 2010.

These horses are supplemental entries on the second day:

  • Slimey (Hip 800A), a stakes-placed Quality Road filly foaled in 2016 and consigned by Eaton Sales, agent, as a racing or broodmare prospect. Out of Argue, by Storm Cat, she is from the family of European champion Rainbow View, Grade 1 winner No Matter What, Grade 2 winners E Dubai and Utley, and Grade/Group 3 winners Just as Well, Wissahickon and Winter View.
  • Speedy Vanessa (Hip 800B), a winning daughter of American Pharoah foaled in 2017 who is a half-sister to Grade 1 winner Karlovy Vary, dam of Grade 2 winner Mean Mary. Consigned by Gainesway, agent, as a broodmare prospect, she is out of the Pulpit mare The Right Pew.
  • Surrender (Hip 800C), dam of Red Flag and earlier stakes winner Surrender Now. Foaled in 2009, the daughter of Stormy Atlantic is from the family of Kentucky Derby (G1) winner Sea Hero. In foal to Catholic Boy, Surrender is consigned by Warrendale Sales, agent.
  • Calm Sea (Hip 800D), a colt by Mendelssohn out of Surrender foaled in 2020. He is consigned by Warrendale Sales, agent.
  • Exotic Notion (Hip 800E), a stakes-placed daughter of Lemon Drop Kid in foal to Quality Road. Lane's End, agent, consigned the half-sister to City of Light, who was foaled in 2012.
  • Filly by Gun Runner out of Grade 3 winner My Baby Baby foaled in 2020 (Hip 800F). She is consigned by Gainesway, agent for Magdalena Racing.
  • Night On the Town (Hip 800G), a racing or broodmare prospect by Street Sense foaled in 2017. Consigned by Claiborne Farm, agent, she is out of Fully Living, by Unbridled's Song, and from the family of champion Halfbridled.

Each session of the January Sale will begin at 10 a.m. ET. The auction will be streamed live on Keeneland.com.

TVG2 will feature live coverage of the first two days of the sale from 10 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. The entire sale will be shown on the Watch TVG App.

Additional Supplements Announced for Fasig November

Officials at Fasig-Tipton have announced the addition of two supplemental entries to the auction house’s November Sale, to be held Sunday, Nov. 8.

Cataloged as hip 287 is the New York-bred Wasp (American Pharoah), who followed up on a debut second with a romping 10 1/4-length maiden victory trying a distance of ground for the first time in the Belmont slop Oct. 30. The 3-year-old bay filly hails from the female family of Grade I winners Evening Jewel (Northern Afleet), General Challenge (General Meeting) and Denman’s Call (Northern Afleet). Wasp is consigned by Claiborne Farm, agent, as a racing/broodmare prospect.

Bluewater Sales, agent, consigns hip 286, a weanling colt by leading sire Into Mischief out of Greenfield d’Oro (Medaglia d’Oro), whose dam Maryfield (Elusive Quality) won the 2007 Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Sprint en route to Eclipse Award honors.

Into Mischief Weanling, Recent Winner Wasp Added To Fasig-Tipton November Sale

Fasig-Tipton has cataloged two new supplemental entries to its 2020 November Sale. These latest entries are catalogued as hips 286 and 287:

  • '20 Into Mischief-Greenfield d'Oro colt (Hip 286): Weanling colt by North America's current leading sire Into Mischief. His dam, by Medaglia d'Oro, is a winner-producing daughter of Eclipse champion Maryfield. Consigned by Bluewater Sales, agent.
  • Wasp (Hip 287): Three-year-old daughter of Triple Crown winner American Pharoah recently broke her maiden at Belmont by more than 10 lengths on October 30, going 1 1/16 miles on dirt. She was second, beaten just a neck, sprinting in her career debut. A registered New York-bred, she is from the family of grade 1 winners Evening Jewel, Denman's Call, General Challenge, and Notable Career. Consigned as a racing/broodmare prospect by Claiborne Farm, agent.

Fasig-Tipton will continue to accept approved November Sale supplemental entries through the Breeders' Cup.

The November Sale will be held this coming Sunday, Nov. 8, in Lexington, Ky. The sale will begin at 2 p.m. Online bidding and phone bidding will be available.
