Ocala Stud Sets 2023 Stallion Roster

Ocala Stud has set 2023 stud fees for its roster of 10 stallions for the upcoming breeding season, led by GI Santa Anita Derby winner Roadster, who will stand his initial season at stud for $7,500 S&N. Also new to the roster for 2023 is GISW Gretzky the Great, who will stand for $3,000 S&N.

Awesome Slew, Florida's No. 1-ranked First Crop Sire, will once again stand for $4,000 S&N.

Seeking the Soul, a Charles Fipke homebred, will stand for $5,000 S&N. He welcomed first foals in 2022.

Win Win Win, like Seeking the Soul, saw his first foals hit the ground in 2022 and will stand the upcoming breeding season for $5,000 S&N.

Stud fees for Adios Charlie, Jess's Dream, and Noble Bird will be $3,000 S&N, and Dak Attack and Battalion Runner will stand for $2,500 S&N.

Constitution Leads WinStar ’23 Roster

With Constitution leading the way at $110,000, WinStar Farm has released the 2023 stud fees for its stallion roster. Constitution, the sire of eight individual runners who have earned 100+ Beyers in 2022, has been represented this year by GIII Peter Pan S. winner 'TDN Rising Star' We the People, GIII Distaff H. winner Glass Ceiling, GIII Greenwood Cup S. winner Ridin With Biden and GIII San Juan Capistrano S. winner Breakpoint (Chi). He was also responsible for a pair of seven-figure yearlings at the Keeneland September sale. Constitution stood the 2022 season at $85,000.

WinStar Farm's  roster will be bolstered next year by the addition of multiple Grade I winner and fellow 'Rising Star' Life is Good (Into Mischief), who will stand his first season at $100,000, pending results of the upcoming Breeders' Cup championships.

Also new to the roster in 2023 is track-record setting Nashville (Speightstown), yet another 'Rising Star' who will stand for $15,000. His sire Speightstown will stand for $80,000, down from $90,000 in 2022.

“We are excited about our roster for 2023, and feel we offer a range of quality horses and value to all breeders,” said Elliott Walden, president, CEO, and racing manager for WinStar Farm. “We will also be offering a limited number of seasons to Life Is Good before the Breeders' Cup Classic.”

The WinStar roster also includes: Audible, $25,000; Improbable, $25,000; Always Dreaming, $10,000; Global Campaign, $10,000; Independence Hall, $10,000; Outwork, $10,000; Take Charge Indy, $10,000; Tom's d'Etat, $10,000; Yoshida (Jpn), $10,000; Good Samaritan, $7,500; Paynter, $7,500; Promises Fulfilled, $5,000; and Tourist, TBD.

Stallions will be available for showings at WinStar's Open House, Nov. 7-15, during the Keeneland November Sale.

Pleasant Acres Stallions Releases 2022 Fees

Pleasant Acres Stallions in Florida has announced their 2022 stud fees. The roster is headed by hard-knocking MGSW & MGISP Gunnevera (Dialed In), who will stand for $6,000. Graded winners Bucchero (Kantharos), Leinster (Majestic Warrior) and Breaking Lucky (Lookin at Lucky), as well as MGISP Neolithic (Harlan's Holiday) are next, each at $5,000. The rest of the roster: Amira's Prince (Teofilo {Ire}), Bellavia (Honor Code), Curlin's Honor (Curlin), Gone Astray (Dixie Union), Handsome Mike (Scat Daddy), Long On Value (Value Plus), No Never No More (Scat Daddy) and Sweetontheladies (Twirling Candy) will all stand for $2,500.

Dialed In Heads Darby Dan 2022 Roster

Darby Dan Farm has set 2022 stud fees for its roster of 12 stallions that will stand the upcoming breeding season, led by Dialed In, who will stand for $15,000 S&N, the same fee as a year ago. The Darby Dan roster also features Tapiture, Higher Power, and Modernist, new for 2022, who will each stand for $10,000 S&N.

Dialed In, champion freshman sire of 2016 and a perennial leading sire of his crop ever since, is a leading sire of 3-year-olds in 2021 with nine black-type sophomores and five graded stakes horses. Among his top runners on the year is 3-year-old Super Stock, winner of the $1-million GI Arkansas Derby.

Tapiture is the number one third-crop sire by winners in 2021 with 115 and he ranks fourth by progeny earnings ($5,984,770). Tapiture also tops the cumulative third-crop sire list by winners with 168 and ranks third with lifetime earnings of $11,864,933.

Higher Power, a powerful winner of the 2019 GI Pacific Classic, will stand his second season at stud in 2022.

Modernist, a multiple graded stakes winner by leading sire Uncle Mo out of the Bernardini mare Symbolic Gesture, a half-sister to Breeders' Cup winners Sweet Catomine and Life Is Sweet, has been retired and will stand his first season at Darby Dan in 2022 in partnership with Matt Bowling of Bowling Bloodstock.

Darby Dan will once again be offering various incentive programs in 2022 to provide value to breeders, including Profit Protection, Share the Upside, Black-Type Bonanza, and Goldmine 20/20 Match Program.
