Also a half to the smart Sacred Life (Fr) (Siyouni {Fr}), the James Ferguson trainee encounters the €575,000 top-priced colt of last year's Goffs Orby, Stall Perlen AB's Odin Legacy (Ire) (Kodiac {GB}), a Richard Hannon-trained half-brother to the stable's recent G3 Oak Tree S. winner Magical Sunset (Ire).

Foxtrot Zulu (Ire) (Saxon Warrior {Jpn}), the 450,000gns Tatts Book 1 half-sister to Going Global (Ire) (Mehmas {Ire}), failed to threaten as the well-backed 4-6 favourite and could only manage a staying-on third, beaten around four lengths.

Philipp Stauffenberg Strikes For Kingman Colt At 550k

Another son of Kingman (GB) surpassed the €500,000 barrier when Philipp Stauffenberg of Stauffenberg Bloodstock bought lot 727, which was consigned by Airlie Stud. Knocked down for €550,000, the March foal is a half-brother to G1 Moyglare Stud S. heroine Skitter Scatter (Scat Daddy), listed winner and multiple group-placed Victory Dance (Ire) (Dubawi {Ire}) and the GIII Jimmy Durante S. runner-up Data Dependent (More Than Ready). Under the second dam is the G1 Dewhurst S. hero Intense Focus (Giant's Causeway).

Godolphin To 700,000gns for Skitter Scatter Brother

A new high mark was established at the current renewal of the Tattersalls December Foal Sale on Friday when Godolphin went to 700,000gns for Airlie Stud’s Dubawi (Ire) half-brother to G1 Moyglare Stud S. winner Skitter Scatter (Scat Daddy) and the American Grade III-placed Data Dependent (More Than Ready) (lot 939). The dam, Dane Street, is a half-sister to G1 Dewhurst S. winner Intense Focus.

Three lots later, Godolphin spent 600,000gns on Fittocks Stud’s Dubawi colt out of the listed-winning and Group 1 producer Baisse (GB) (High Chaparral {Ire}) (lot 944).
