Gestut Ammerland's €820,000 BBAG September graduate Sea The Sky (Ger) (Sea The Stars {Ire}), a full-sister to G1 Deutsches Derby hero Sea The Moon (Ger), earned her black-type stripes with victory in Thursday's Listed Prix Joubert at ParisLongchamp.

Sea The Sky had failed to get in front since snagging her Nov. 2 debut at Chantilly and went postward for this marathon coming back off a third in Deauville's Aug. 14 G3 Prix Minerve. Settled off the pace in sixth for the most part, she made continued headway under pressure in the home straight to gain a narrow advantage entering the final furlong and was ridden out late to deny Divine Jewel in a bobbing finish for a career high.

Sea The Sky, the seventh of nine foals, is one of three scorers produced by an unraced full-sister to G1 Deutsches Derby-winning sires Samum (Ger) (Monsun {Ger}) and Schiaparelli (Ger) (Monsun {Ger}) and G1 Preis der Diana  (German Oaks) heroine Salve Regina (Ger) (Monsun {Ger}). The €820,000 BBAG September yearling is a full-sister to runaway G1 Deutsches Derby-winning sire Sea The Moon (Ger) (Sea the Stars {Ire}) and to the dam of this term's Listed Abingdon S. runner-up Golden Lyra (Ire) (Lope De Vega {Ire}). She is also a half-sister to Listed Dallmayr Coupe Lukull runner-up Sansiwa (Ire) (Dansili {GB}) and a yearling filly by Frankel (GB). Sea The Sky's weanling full-brother is slated to sell at this year's Goffs November Foal sale, according to Gestut Gorlsdorf's Niko Lafrentz.

GOLDEN LYRA (GB) (Lope De Vega {Ire}) has been found a golden opportunity for a confidence boost by William Haggas following her second on her seasonal bow in the Listed Abingdon S. last month. Sunderland Holding's homebred, whose dam is an unraced full-sister to Sea The Moon (Ger), should be able to pick off her opponents with ease unless Kirsten Rausing's Ralph Beckett-trained Allemande (GB), a debutante half-sister to the group 1-placed Albaflora (GB) (Muhaarar {GB}) by Sea The Moon himself, is out of the ordinary.

Arqana Breeze-Up Sale Gains Septet Of Wildcards

The catalogue for the Arqana Breeze-Up Sale grew by seven more lots with the addition of wildcards on Friday. Slated for May 13, with the breezes to be held the day prior, the new recruits include: lot 146, a filly by Oasis Dream (GB) from the family of the Group 1-placed Titian Time (Red Ransom) from Yeomanstown Stud; Bloodstock Connection will send a colt by Siyouni (Fr) through the ring as lot 149, who is a half-brother to a pair of black-type horses; Glending Stables' lot 150, a Night of Thunder (Ire) half-brother to stakes winner Battalion (Ire) (Authorized {Ire}); Yeomanstown will also offer a colt by Lope de Vega (Ire) (lot 152) who is out of a half-sister to GI Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf hero Line of Duty (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}); lot 147, a son of Dabirsim (Fr) from Sherbourne Lodge; a colt by Zoffany (Ire) (lot 148) consigned by Mocklershill; and lot 151, a son of Sea The Moon (Ger) from the draft of Knockanglass Stables.
