Catalog For Fasig-Tipton Gulfstream Sale Now Online

Fasig-Tipton has cataloged 184 entries for The Gulfstream Sale of Selected 2-Year-Olds in Training, to be held on Wednesday, March 31, in the racetrack's walking ring. The sale will begin at 2 p.m.

The under tack show is scheduled for Monday, March 29, beginning at 9 a.m.

“We are excited to be returning to Gulfstream Park in March to conduct the nation's premier 2-year-olds in training sale,” said Fasig-Tipton president Boyd Browning. “The Gulfstream Sale annually provides an unrivaled concentration of quality, and this year's catalog is loaded.”

This year's catalog cover features several of the sale's recent star graduates. These include Nadal, winner of last year's Grade 1 Arkansas Derby, Grade 1 and multiple graded stakes winner Bellafina, as well as talented graded stakes winners Yaupon, Donna Veloce, and Share the Ride.

The catalog's back cover provides a list of important races won by Gulfstream graduates since the sale was first conducted at the Hallandale Beach facility in 2015.

“In a short period of time, Gulfstream grads have won 13 different Grade 1 races, including the Kentucky Derby, Breeders' Cup Juvenile, Met Mile, and the Florida Derby twice,” continued Browning. “If you want to play at the top of the game, this sale – and its dirt race track – will get you there.”

The catalog may now be viewed online and will also be available via the Equineline sales catalogue app. Print catalogs will be available from Fasig-Tipton offices in late February.

Fasig-Tipton will also offer a supplemental catalog once again this year. Supplemental entries will be accepted on an approval basis.

OBS March 2-Year-Old Sale Catalog Now Online

The catalog for the Ocala Breeders' Sales Company's 2021 March Sale of 2-Year-Olds in Training is now available via the OBS website at obssales.com.

A total of 561 juveniles have been cataloged for the two-day sale, set for Tuesday and Wednesday, March 16-17, with both sessions beginning at 11 a.m.

Hips 1 – 282 will sell on Tuesday: Hips 283 – 563 on Wednesday. The Under Tack Show will span three days, beginning Thursday, March 11 with Hips 1 – 188. Hips 189 – 376 will breeze Friday, March 12 and Hips 377 – 563 will go Saturday, March 13. All three sessions will begin at 8 a.m. The Under Tack Show and sale will be streamed live via the OBS website as well as the TDN, DRF and Blood-Horse, and Past The Wire websites.

Gracing the front cover of the catalog is 2007 OBS March graduate Into Mischief, purchased for $180,000 by B. Wayne Hughes out of the M&H Training and Sales consignment. After winning three of six starts including the Grade 1 CashCall Futurity at Hollywood Park and earning nearly $600,000, he entered stud in 2009. Rising steadily the stallion ranks, he has topped the North American sire list for the past two years, becoming the first stallion breaking the $20-million mark in single-season progeny earnings in 2020. The long list of his current and recent major winners is headed by reigning Horse of the Year Authentic. His son Goldencents, also an OBS 2-year-old graduate, was the leading third crop sire in 2020.

For the past few years, OBS March graduates have upheld the sale's legacy as a prime source of top class racehorses. Twenty-nine March graduates have accounted for 41 graded stakes wins since the beginning of 2019, with 166 winning or placing in 376 stakes.

The back cover features OBS March graduates who have won major races from coast to coast and overseas.

The online catalog's main page contains a link to a sortable master index providing searchable pedigree and consignor information as well as access to pedigree updates occurring since the catalog was printed. Advanced search and filter capability has been added to allow shortlist creation. Fasig-Tipton Kentucky Winter Mixed Sale Adds 70 Supplemental Entries

Fasig-Tipton has cataloged an additional 70 supplemental entries to its 2021 Kentucky Winter Mixed Sale.

These entries are cataloged as hips 581-650 and may now be viewed online. Print versions of the supplemental catalogue will be available on the sales grounds at sale time.

These latest entries include:

Shieldmaiden (Hip 589): Daughter of Smart Strike is the dam of Fair Maiden, recent winner of the Grade 1 La Brea Stakes at Santa Anita. She is from the immediate family of Grade 1 winners Secret Status, Private Status, and Dunbar Road. Offered in foal to Passion for Action, she is consigned by South Point Sales Agency, agent.
Julia's Ready (Hip 594): Daughter of M0re Than Ready is a half-sister to Grade 1 winner Tom's d'Etat. A winner at two and an earner of $191,000, she is consigned as racing/broodmare prospect by Hermitage Farm, agent.
Mo See Cal (Hip 605): Daughter of Uncle Mo is a stakes winner of $348,258. Consigned as a broodmare prospect by Paramount Sales, agent.

Educating (Hip 610): Young daughter of Elusive Quality is a half-sister to graded stakes winners Diversy Harbor, Keertana, and Snow Top Mountain. In foal to Hard Spun, she is consigned by Hill 'n' Dale Sales Agency, agent.
Whoa Nellie (Hip 625): Multiple stakes winner and multiple graded stakes-placed earner of $353,830. Immediate family of Grade 1 winners Awesome Humor, Emcee, and Constitution. Consigned as a broodmare prospect by Taylor Made Sales Agency, agent for Fox Hill Farms, Inc.

My Dixie Doodle (Dixie Union), in foal to American Pharoah, stands out among the entrants of Wanamaker's January online auction.

Being offered by Stuart Morris, Agent, My Dixie Doodle is already the dam of stakes-placed Prince of Pharoahs (American Pharoah) and up and coming 3-year-old, Chrome Dixie (California Chrome).
