Half To Ribchester Debuts At Deauville

Sunday's Observations features a half-brother to crack miler Ribchester (Ire).

RIBBLE VIBE (IRE) (Sea The Stars {Ire}) is a half-brother to the four-times Group 1-winning miler Ribchester (Ire) who debuts on the Polytrack in the Godolphin blue for the Andre Fabre stable. In the immediate family are the classy Matterhorn (Ire) (Raven's Pass) and Bangkok (Ire) (Australia {GB}), who performed at their best either on dirt or the all-weather.

PELLEGRIN (IRE) (Kingman {GB}) is another notable newcomer for Andre Fabre on the card, being a daughter of Lady Bamford's brilliant G1 Oaks and Irish Oaks heroine Sariska (GB) (Pivotal {GB}). A full-sister to October's G3 Prix de Flore third Tygress (GB), she encounters the Wertheimers' Halfday (Fr) (Lope De Vega {Ire}), a granddaughter of the high-class Midday (GB) (Oasis Dream {GB}).

Pair Of Shares And A Breeding Right Added To The Arqana Online Sale

Two more stallion shares and a breeding right have been added to the Arqana Online January Sale on Jan. 31.

A 1/48th share in Grade 1-winning jumper Nirvana Du Berlais (Fr) (Martaline {GB}) (lot 10) has been added to the catalogue. The share gives the right to two coverings a year in 2023 and 2024, followed by one covering a year beginning in 2025. Standing at Haras de la Hetraie for €6,500 this season, his first foals are juveniles.

There is also a breeding right available in crack miler Ribchester (Ire) (lot 11). He is the sire of 12 stakes winners including Group 1-placed Flaming Rib (Ire). He is priced at €7,500 this year and the breeding right gives the buyer the right to one covering a year.

Rounding out the new additions is a half-share (1/100th) in G1 Prix de l'Abbaye hero Wooded (Ire) (lot 12). The son of Wootton Bassett (GB) has his first yearlings in 2023, and commands €12,000 at Haras de Bouquetot. The half-share grants the buyer the right of one covering a year, plus a bonus covering which may be used in 2023 or 2024.

Arqana Online January Catalogue Features Zarak Share

The catalogue for the Arqana Online January Sale, featuring a 1/50th share in rising stallion star Zarak (Fr) (lot 1), is now online. Featuring nine lots split between breeding rights and stallion shares, the sale will be held from 3-5 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 17.

Standing under the Aga Khan Studs' banner at Haras de Bonneval for €60,000, the son of Dubawi (Ire) and the Arc heroine Zarkava (Ire) (Zamindar) already has 15 black-type winners to his credit, including the Group 1-placed Times Square (Fr), Purplepay (Fr), and La Parisienne (Fr). The share entitles the buyer to one nomination per year, plus an additional bonus nomination any even-numbered year (one nomination in 2023 and two nominations in 2024).

Other shares on offer include lot 4, a 1/60th share in The Grey Gatsby (Ire). Already the sire of three group winners, the G1 Irish Champion S. and G1 Prix du Jockey Club hero's share will entitle the buyer to one covering per year. He stands for €12,000 at Haras du Petit Tellier this year.

There are also breeding rights in several stallions, among them Cloth Of Stars (Ire) (lot 2), Territories (Ire) (lot 5), Ribchester (Ire) (lot 7) and Le Brivido (Fr) (lot 9).

Arqana Online Releases Breeding Rights And Stallion Shares Catalogue

There will be a selection of stallion shares and breeding rights offered during the Arqana Online Sale on Nov. 22, and the catalogue is now online. Shares in the French Champion Sire Siyouni (Fr) (lot 2) and rising sire star Zarak (Fr) (lot 1) will both go under the hammer. The duo's stud fees of €150,000 and €60,000 were announced on Tuesday.

Other stallions with shares available include Group 1 sire Almanzor (Fr) (lot 3), high-quality jumps sire No Risk At All (Fr) (lot 4), group sires The Grey Gatsby (Ire) (lot 5), Goken (Fr) (lot 6), and Dariyan (Fr) (lot 11) and stakes-producing sire Al Wukair (Ire) (lot 9).

There are also breeding rights that will be offered from Darley stallions Ribchester (Ire) (lot 7), Territories (Ire) (lot 8), Harry Angel (Ire) (lot 10) and Cloth Of Stars (Ire) (lot 12).
