Thursday’s Gulfstream Rainbow 6 Jackpot Guaranteed At $600,000

Thursday's 20-cent Rainbow 6 jackpot pool will be guaranteed at $600,000 at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Fla., where only four racing days remain in the inaugural fall meet.

The 2021-2022 Championship Meet will kick off Friday, Dec. 3.

The Rainbow 6 went unsolved Sunday for the 20th racing day in a row following a $461,035.47 jackpot payoff Oct. 9.

The Rainbow 6 jackpot is paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day's pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.

Gulfstream Rainbow 6 Guaranteed At $600,000 Sunday

Sunday's 20-cent Rainbow 6 jackpot pool will be guaranteed at $600,000 at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Fla., where the popular multi-race wager went unsolved Saturday for the 19th racing day following a $461,035.47 jackpot payoff Oct. 9.

The Rainbow 6 jackpot is paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day's pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.

Sunday's Rainbow 6 sequence will span Races 5-10, kicked off by a maiden special weight race for Florida-bred 2-year-olds. Todd Pletcher-trained So Determined, an $875,000 yearling purchase as the Keeneland September sale, is listed as the 8-5 favorite after overcoming a slow start from his rail post position to finish second in his debut Oct. 2 at Gulfstream.

In Race 7, a six-furlong optional claiming allowance for Florida-bred 3-year-olds and up, Michael Stidham-trained Uphold the Law is scheduled to make a return from a 7 ½-month layoff since his impressive debut victory at Gulfstream in March. Aubrey Maragh-trained Raise the Rent, who was privately purchased following his recent 2 ¾-length maiden score; and Ralph Nicks-trained Big Daddy Dave, a multiple stakes-placed son of Khozan who will make his first start in 13 months; are also prominent on the list of entries.

In Race 9, a mile optional claiming allowance for 3-year-olds and up, Arindel's Alonso is scheduled to make his first start since finishing second in the Grade 2 Smarty Jones at Parx Aug. 24.

Gulfstream Rainbow 6 Jackpot Guaranteed At $400,000 Sunday

The 20-cent Rainbow 6 jackpot pool will be guaranteed at $400,000 Sunday at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Fla., where the popular multi-race wager went unsolved Saturday for the 15th racing day following a $461,035.47 jackpot payoff Oct. 9.

Sunday's Rainbow 6 sequence will span Races 5-10, kicked off featuring three optional claiming allowances. Carlos David-trained Gatsby is rated as the 2-1 morning-line favorite in the Race 8 feature, a six-furlong sprint for 3-year-olds and up. Gatsby, who most recently followed up a win with a second-place finish, has a claim to fame of debuting with an April 17, 2020 upset victory over heavily favored Golden Pal, who captured Saturday's Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint in a romp.

The Rainbow 6 jackpot is paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day's pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.

In Saturday's featured $65,000 Showing Up, King of Dreams followed up a victory in the $60,000 Oakland Park Handicap with an open-lengths triumph to run his record to 2-for-2 on Gulfstream's Tapeta track.

Owned by former MLB star Victor Martinez's Victoria's Ranch, King of Dreams ($16) chased pacesetter Moonlite Strike before taking over on the turn into the homestretch and drawing away to a comfortable score under Leonel Reyes.

The Florida-bred son of Air Force Blue ran a mile and 70 yards in 1:41.40 while prevailing over 11 other 3-year-olds. Fighting Force finished second after making a brief challenge at the top of the stretch. Siglioso finished third.

Sunday's Rainbow 6 sequence will span Races 4-9, anchored by a mile maiden special weight race for 2-year-olds. Antonio Sano-trained Logico, who rallied from last following a very slow start to finish second in his recent debut, and Gustavo Delgado-trained Rod Two Rod, second in his two career starts, are likely to vie for favoritism.

A maiden special weight race for 3-year-olds and up on Tapeta carded as Race 3 will mark the debut of New Town Anner Stud Farm's Macedonian, a son of Bernardini and Argentine-bred Meguial. The Saffie Joseph Jr. trainee is a half-brother to I Want Revenge, who captured the 2009 Grade 1 Wood Memorial and Grade 3 Gotham.

On Saturday's program, Antonio Sano-trained Simplification graduated in style, capturing a six-furlong maiden special weight race for 2-year-olds. The son of Not This Time, who was coming off a fifth-place finish on Tapeta in his debut, ran six furlongs in 1:09.81.
