Los Alamitos Pick 6 Boosted By $62,575 Carryover For Sunday’s Card

For the second consecutive day, there were no perfect tickets in the Pick Six, so there will be a carryover of $62,575 when racing resumes Sunday at Los Alamitos Race Course in Cypress, Calif., the third day of the Winter Thoroughbred meet.

The primary catalysts for another carryover were Untouched Elegance, who won Saturday's fifth race at 7-1, and Brio Is Awesome, who scored an 11-1 surprise in the sixth.

The Pick Six begins in Sunday's fourth race. Post time is 12:30 p.m. and scheduled post time for the fourth is 1:58 p.m.

Trio Of Longshots Trigger $729,611 Triple Pick 6 Carryover Into Saturday’s Cigar Mile Card

Saturday's Cigar Mile Day card will be bolstered by a triple Pick 6 carryover of $729,611 as the multi-race wager went unsolved on Friday at Aqueduct Racetrack.

The $1 Pick 6 returned $2,938 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 winners correctly.

Friday's sequence kicked off in Race 5 with Sweet Mission [No. 12, $45.80] posting a 21-1 upset in a 1 1/16-mile inner turf claiming tilt for fillies and mares. Jose Ortiz piloted the winner for Mark Hennig.

Lost My Sock [No.1, $104.50], sent to post at odds of 51-1 under Raul Mena for trainer Derek Ryan, wore down Glitter Up in deep stretch to win Race 6, a six-furlong outer turf sprint for maiden juvenile fillies.

The streak of longshots continued in Race 7, a six-furlong optional-claiming sprint for state-bred 3-year-olds and up, with Saratoga Pal [No. 4, $40.40] rallying wide down the lane to win at odds of 19-1 as the longest shot in the seven-horse field. Eric Cancel guided the winner for Chris Englehart.

Crea's Bklyn Law [No. 8, $8.10] rallied down the center of the track to capture Race 8 with Kendrick Carmouche up for Michael Miceli in the 6 1/2-furlong sprint for 3-year-olds and up on the main track.

Off at odds of 4-1, Summer to Remember [No. 2, $12.20] took charge into the final turn and staved off a late charge from Smile Bryan to win Race 9, a 1 1/16-mile inner turf claiming tilt for 3-year-olds and up. Ortiz engineered the score for trainer Rudy Rodriguez.

With the carryover already confirmed, the Christophe Clement-conditioned She's the One [No. 3, $3.30] prevailed as the odds-on choice under Irad Ortiz, Jr. in Race 10, a six-furlong outer turf sprint for New York-bred fillies and mares 3-years-old and up.

Saturday's Pick 6 kicks off in Race 5 at 1:45 p.m. Eastern and includes the Grade 1, $750,000 Cigar Mile, the Grade 2, $250,000 Remsen, the Grade 2, $250,000 Demoiselle, and the Grade 3, $250,000 Go for Wand. First post on the 10-race card is 11:50 a.m.

Friday's card will be bolstered by a double Pick 6 carryover of $288,843 as the multi-race wager went unsolved on Thursday at Aqueduct Racetrack.

The $1 Pick 6 returned $504.50 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 winners correctly.

Thursday's sequence kicked off in Race 4 with Radio Days [No. 4, $2.50] impressing as the mutuel favorite in a seven-furlong allowance optional claiming sprint for juvenile fillies under Dylan Davis for Hall of Fame trainer Shug McGaughey.

Sandrone [No. 5, $6.60], the 2-1 public choice, captured Race 5 with Luis Saez up for H. James Bond in a six-furlong outer turf sprint for New York-bred juveniles before Electric Youth [No. 5, $23.40] spiced up the sequence at odds of 10-1 with Saez up for Rudy Rodriguez in Race 6. Saez completed a natural hat trick by winning Race 7 with the Bond-trained Reckless Spirit [No. 7, $16].

Space Launch [No. 2, $21] found the wire in time to win Race 8, a 1 1/16-mile outer turf allowance, with Manny Franco up for Christophe Clement.

With only two horses uncovered in the Pick 6 to close out the sequence in Race 9, the Kelly Breen-conditioned Courvoisier [No. 10, $30] staved off Perfect Fight to secure the carryover in the nine-furlong maiden tilt for 2-year-olds.

Thursday's Pick 6 will be bolstered by a $68,497 carryover as the multi-race wager went unsolved on Sunday at Aqueduct Racetrack in Ozone Park, N.Y.

The $1 Pick 6 returned $7,610.50 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 winners correctly.

Sunday's sequence kicked off in Race 5 with Umbria [No. 12, $10.40] graduating in a 1 1/16-mile inner turf test for New York-bred maiden for fillies and mares 3-years-old and up. Jose Lezcano piloted the winner for Linda Rice.

Empty Tomb [No. 1, $47.60] prevailed in Race 6, a one-mile optional-claiming tilt for 3-year-olds and up, under a perfect ride by Eric Cancel for trainer Robert Falcone.
