Free Equibase PP’s For All Races On America’s Day At The Races

America's Day at the Races, the acclaimed national telecast produced by the New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) in partnership with FOX Sports, continues Saturday with stakes action from Oaklawn Park, Santa Anita Park, Tampa Bay Downs, and Aqueduct Racetrack.

Presented by America's Best Racing and Claiborne Farm, America's Day at the Races will air from 2:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. Eastern on FS2, including a pair of important Road to the Kentucky Derby prep races.

Trainer Todd Pletcher will send out top contenders Overtook and Donegal Bay in the Grade 3, $250,000 Withers [Race 8, 4:25 p.m.] at the Big A, which offers 10-4-2-1 Kentucky Derby qualifying points to the top-four finishers.

A talented field of nine for the nine-furlong Withers includes Jerome-winner Capo Kane and promising maiden winner Risk Taking for four-time Eclipse Award-winning trainer Chad Brown.

Tampa Bay Downs has four stakes on offer on their Festival Preview Day card, led by the Grade 3, $250,000 Sam F. Davis [Race 11, 5:02 p.m.], also offering 10-4-2-1 qualifying points for the first Saturday in May.

A wide-open field for the 1 1/16-mile test features Candy Man Rocket, who earned a field-best 85 Beyer Speed Figure in a last-out maiden win at Gulfstream Park for Hall of Fame trainer Bill Mott. Mott will also be represented by stakes winner Nova Rags, who arrives off a score in the seven-furlong Pasco at Tampa Bay Downs. The Pletcher-trained Known Agenda, looking to rebound from a third in the Remsen at the Big A, will have the services of Hall of Fame jockey John Velazquez.

Also on tap Saturday at Tampa is the Grade 3, $175,000 Endeavour [Race 10, 4:32 p.m.]at 1 1/16-miles on the turf for fillies and mares 4-years-old and up; the Grade 3, $175,000 Tampa Bay [Race 8, 3:30 p.m.] for 4-year-olds and up on the turf and the $150,000 Suncoast [Race 9, 4:02 p.m.], a main track route for sophomore fillies.

Stakes action from Santa Anita Park will include the Grade 2, $200,000 San Marcos, a 10-furlong turf test for 4-year-olds and upward; and the Grade 2, $200,000 San Vicente, a seven-furlong sprint for sophomores featuring the stakes debut of the promising maiden winner Concert Tour.

Leading the action at Oaklawn Park is the $150,000 King Cotton [Race 8, 5:40 p.m.], a six-furlong sprint for 4-year-olds and up led by graded-stakes winner Flagstaff for trainer John Sadler.

America's Day at the Races is also broadcast on NYRA's YouTube channel which boasts more than 64,000 subscribers. Free Past Performances Available For Saturday’s Cross Country Pick 5

Races from Aqueduct Racetrack, Oaklawn Park and Tampa Bay Downs will comprise the Cross Country Pick 5 on Saturday as part of the wager hosted by the New York Racing Association, Inc.

Aqueduct will commence the sequence with a six-furlong allowance optional claiming sprint in Race 8 at 3:54 p.m. Eastern. Golani Brigade, the 2-1 morning-line favorite for trainer Chad Brown, will make his 5-year-old debut while South Africa, at 5-2, has finished first or second in his last four starts for trainer Michelle Nevin.

Oaklawn will kick off the stakes action with the $200,000 Martha Washington, a 10-4-2-1 Kentucky Oaks qualifier for 3-year-old fillies going one mile in Race 5 at 4:06 p.m. Coach, listed at 7-5, is 3-0-1 in four starts for trainer Brad Cox, including a win in the Rags to Riches in October at Churchill Downs and a strong third in the Grade 2 Golden Rod in November at the same track. Joy's Rocket, listed at 5-2 for Hall of Fame trainer Steve Asmussen, has won her last two starts, capturing both the Songbird and the Letellier Memorial. Novel Squall, Will's Secret and Sylvia Q will all be looking for their first respective stakes wins.

Tampa Bay will get in on the fun in the third leg as a full field of 3-year-old filly maidens compete at one mile on the turf in Race 8 at 4:10 p.m. The Irish-bred Rastafara will make her first career start for Brown at 3-1 odds, while conditioner Christophe Clement will send out a first-time starter of his own in Tranquillina [4-1].

Brown will send out another contender with Mystic Night in Aqueduct's Race 9, a one-mile maiden special weight, at 4:25 p.m. Mystic Night will be making his third career start and comprise an eight-horse field that includes slight 7-2 favorite Mandatory, who has run second and third in three career starts for trainer John Kimmel.

Oaklawn will host the finale with a six-furlong allowance sprint in Race 6 at 4:38 p.m. Cox has another formidable challenger in The Mary Rose, who will be making her first start for her new conditioner after previously being trained by William VanMeter. The Mary Rose, 3-1, drew post 9 with 4-1 selection Bettyann will also run for the first time for a new trainer, breaking from post 10 for Kenny Smith.

The minimum bet for the multi-track, multi-race wager is 50 cents. Wagering on the Cross Country Pick 5 is also available on ADW platforms and at simulcast facilities across the country. Meadowlands: Pick 5 Pool Guaranteed At $100,000 On Saturday, Jan. 9

The Meadowlands is pleased to announce that Saturday, Jan. 9 will have a guaranteed Pick 5 pool of $100,000. Additionally, the pool with be seeded with $25,000.

Free past performances will be available for this and every live race card at PlayMeadowlands.com.

“We want to run a wagering promotion that gives back to our customers as a way of thanking them for wagering over $4.5 million on us last Saturday night,” said COO & GM of the Meadowlands Racetrack, Jason Settlemoir. “This seeded and guaranteed Pick 5 pool, along with free past performances hopefully provides bettors an additional incentive to wager on us.”

“We would like to thank the SBOA of NJ especially President Mark Ford and the SBOA Board for taking on this initiative with us,” Settlemoir added. “We were extremely pleased with on-track racing product and pool totals last Saturday and this promotion will hopefully keep the momentum going.”

Meadowlands To Provide Free Trackmaster Past Performances Through August

Starting with the first race card of 2021, Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment will now offer free full card past performances for each race night through the Winter/Spring and Championship Meets.

Working with TrackMaster, the Meadowlands Racetrack was able to come to an agreement that allows the track to provide free Platinum TrackMaster Past Performances through Saturday, Aug. 7, 2021.

The PPs are available for download here.

“I have always recognized the importance of getting program information in everyone's hands. We have now entered into an agreement with Trackmaster that enables us to do just that and post our programs on our website for each live race card so anyone can download and print the program free of charge,” said Jason Settlemoir, COO & GM of Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment.

“When I found out about this opportunity I jumped on it for our customers as the price seemed right after speaking with David Siegal President of Trackmaster. Mr. Gural agreed to give it a try for our customers.  As the premier harness track in North America to be able to disseminate our information for free to everyone puts us on par with professional sports leagues such as the NFL, NBA, MLB and all the others with free information available to our customers and fan base. We will give this a try and see if it moves the needle for handle.”

Settlemoir also said, “We are also working on another exciting project with Trackmaster as well that should be completed hopefully in February. More details to follow on that initiative as we move forward.”
