Flaxman Stables Ireland's Foniska (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}), a daughter of G2 Kilboy Estate S. victrix and G1 Pretty Polly S. runner-up Bocca Baciata (Ire) (Big Bad Bob {Ire}), made little impression in this belated debut and finished seventh.

Aidan O'Brien trainee Denmark (GB) (Camelot {GB}), last year's €440,000 Arqana October sale-topping half to G1 Criterium de Saint-Cloud third Big Blue (GB) (Galileo {Ire}), dominated the closing stages of this debut and posted a 3 1/4-length success.

Juddmonte's 'TDN Rising Star' Apricot Twist (Ire) (Expert Eye {GB}), making a swift reappearance in this valuable Irish EBF Ballyhane S., was close enough if good enough, but failed to reproduce her impressive debut burst and finished ninth.

Noble Style Returns At Newmarket

Observations on the European Racing Scene turns the spotlight on the best European races of the day, highlighting well-pedigreed horses early in their careers, horses of note returning to action and young runners that achieved notable results in the sales ring. Friday's Observations features the return of a 'TDN Rising Star'.

5.10 Newmarket, Novice, £8,000, 2yo, 6fT
NOBLE STYLE (GB) (Kingman {GB}) makes his eagerly-awaited return from a setback that ruled him out of the G2 Coventry S., having been one of the forecast favourites for that contest after his impressive Ascot debut win. Earning TDN Rising Star status in that five-furlong novice in May, he has been sidelined while the fourth-placed Royal Scotsman (Ire) (Gleneagles {Ire}) has gone from strength to strength as one of the year's leading juveniles. Charlie Appleby could have run the 525,000gns Book 1 graduate in Thursday's G2 Richmond S. against that rival, but opted instead for a softer reintroduction which can conceivably only be disrupted by the Jane Chapple-Hyam-trained Doncaster maiden winner Mill Stream (Ire) (Gleneagles {Ire}).
