SILVER LADY (GB) (Sea The Stars {Ire}) is the third foal out of the G1 Cheveley Park S. heroine Lumiere (GB) (Shamardal) who particularly excelled at Newmarket and has already produced Highland Avenue (Ire) (Dubawi {Ire}) who captured the Listed Feilden S. on this card two years ago. Trained like that useful type by Charlie Appleby, Godolphin's March-foaled homebred is met by another intriguing newcomer by Sea The Stars in Sunderland Holding's Sea Claret (GB), a William Haggas-trained relative of the recent G3 Prix Vanteaux winner Jannah Rose (Ire) (Frankel {GB}).

Observations: All Eyes on Ballydoyle Pair in the “Tough Talk” Maiden

Sunday's Insights features the well-bred River Tiber (Ire) at The Curragh for Ballydoyle.

RIVER TIBER (IRE) (Wootton Bassett {GB}) appears the pick of the two juvenile colts from Ballydoyle making his debut in this maiden which proved such a fertile source of group performers 12 months ago as Tough Talk (Ire) (Kingman {GB}) led home Little Big Bear (Ire) (No Nay Never) and Shartash (Ire) (Invincible Spirit {Ire}) and other useful types. A 480,000gns Book 1 purchase, the February-foaled bay hails from the family of the 2013 G1 Phoenix S. winner Sudirman (Henrythenavigator) and Star Of India (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) who captured last year's Listed Dee S. for this stable. Also here is Democracy (Ire) (No Nay Never), a full-brother to last year's G3 Oh So Sharp S. scorer Midnight Mile (Ire) from the family of Quarter Moon (Ire) (Sadler's Wells).

Observations: Wuheida’s Half-Sister Debuts At Newcastle

SAHARA MIST (GB) (Deep Impact {Jpn}) is the fifth foal out of Godolphin's G1 Fillies' Mile and GI Yellow Ribbon S. winner Hibaayeb (GB) (Singspiel {Ire}), who provided the operation with the GI Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf and G1 Prix Marcel Boussac heroine Wuheida (GB) (Dubawi {Ire}). Charlie Appleby also saddles last month's Wolverhampton fourth Joyful Act (GB) (Frankel {GB}), a homebred daughter of the G1 1000 Guineas, G1 Irish Oaks and G1 Yorkshire Oaks heroine Blue Bunting (Dynaformer).

Observations: Laurel Returns in the Snowdrop

RAINBOW SKY (GB) (Sea The Stars {Ire}), a 1.5million gns Book 1 purchase by Godolphin, is a daughter of the Barnetts' G2 Lowther S. and G2 Queen Mary S. winner Best Terms (GB) (Exceed And Excel {Aus}) who dazzled on her winning debut over this course and distance in November. An Oaks entry for the Charlie Appleby stable, the January-foaled chestnut is joined in this race that used to hold listed status and be known as the Masaka S. by stablemate Dancing Goddess (Ire) (Dubawi {Ire}), a seven-furlong debut winner here in November hailing from the family of Thunder Snow (Ire) (Helmet {Aus}) and Dubawi's 2000 Guineas hero Coroebus (Ire).

SLIPOFTHEPEN (GB) (Night Of Thunder {Ire}) is an intriguing Royal runner in this contest which also used to be listed and run as the Easter S. Still in the 2000 Guineas, the John and Thady Gosden-trained relative of the Oaks runner-up Flight Of Fancy (GB) (Sadler's Wells) made a big impression on his sole start over this course and distance in November.

LAUREL (GB) (Kingman {GB}) makes her eagerly-awaited seasonal return as one of Juddmonte and John and Thady Gosden's more exciting prospects for the season. Earning TDN Rising Star status over this course and distance days before finishing runner-up in the G1 Sun Chariot S. at Newmarket, the daughter of the G1 Pretty Polly S. heroine Promising Lead (GB) (Danehill) from the dynasty of Hasili (Ire) takes in this Listed Snowdrop Fillies' S., won three years ago by the stable's subsequent dual group 1 winner Nazeef (GB) (Invincible Spirit {Ire}).
