Here are the horses of interest for Saturday running at Tokyo and Hanshin Racecourses. Dual surface Group 1 winner Mozu Ascot (Frankel {GB}) goes around in Saturday’s G3 Musashino S. at headquarters, while at Hanshin, debut winner Super Wooper (Overanalyze) tries stakes company off a debut victory last month. A full-brother to SW Sniper Kitten, the March foal is out of a full-sister to Cannonball, MSW & GSP in this country, second in a G1 Golden Jubilee S. at Royal Ascot and placed in Australian Group 3 company. Love and Faith, a half-sister to MGSW & GISP High Limit (Maria’s Mon), is the dam of a yearling colt by Almond Eye (Jpn)’s sire Lord Kanaloa (Jpn) and a weanling filly by the crack sprinter. 8th-TOK, ¥14,300,000 ($137k), Allowance, 3yo/up, 1600mT
CHAROITE (f, 3, Uncle Mo–Taboo, by Forestry) improved off a debut fourth to graduate going this distance over the Nakayama turf when last seen Mar. 14. A $295K Fasig-Tipton Saratoga buyback turned $400K FTFMAR breezer, this half-sister to GSP Der Lu (Orb) and to recent Saratoga maiden winner Restored Order (Frosted) is out of a winning daughter of GISW Dream of Summer (Siberian Summer), the dam of GISW sire Creative Cause (Giant’s Causeway), GISW Vexatious (Giant’s Causeway) and MGSW/GISP Destin (Giant’s Causeway). Charoite is bred just like champion and leading freshman sire Nyquist. B-Merriebelle Stable (KY)

11th-HSN, Daily Hai Nisai S.-G2, ¥72m ($685k), 2yo, 1600mT
SUPER WOOPER (f, 2, Overanalyze–Spoken, by Unbridled’s Song) carried legendary Yutaka Take to a front-running first-out victory going six furlongs at Kyoto Oct. 24 (video, gate 13) and is the lone filly in a field of eight for this stakes debut. Produced by a half-sister to SW Dream Nettie (Dixie Union), the $20K KEESEP yearling who blossomed into a $150K OBS March breezer is a maternal great-granddaughter of GISW Preach (Mr. Prospector), the dam of the influential Pulpit (A.P. SATONO APOLLON (JPN) (c, 2, Into Mischief–Final Decision, by Super Saver) debuted as a 5-1 chance over this track and distance July 25 and gave an excellent account of himself, finishing two lengths’ second behind a winner that has since doubled up (see below, gate 3). The April foal is out of a half-sister to champion Informed Decision (Monarchos), who was purchased with this foal in utero for $425K at Fasig-Tipton November in 2017. Satono Apollon, an ¥80-million ($737,600) acquisition at last year’s JRHA Select Sale, has a yearling half-sister by Heart’s Cry (Jpn) and a weanling half-sister by Lord Kanaloa (Jpn). A $200K Keeneland September yearling turned $700K OBS April breezer, the dark bay is kin to Good Magic’s yearling full-brother, who fetched $800K at KEESEP last month. The MSW/GSP Glinda the Good is a half-sister to GSW & GISP Take the Ribbon (Chester House); SW Flash Forward (Curlin); SW & GSP Flash Mash (Smarty Jones); and SW Bright Magic (Prized).    HARRY BAROWS (c, 3, Uncle Mo–Isobel Baillie {GB}, by Lomitas {GB}) has two wins and a third from three tries on the dirt, having most recently cleared his first allowance condition by an easy 3 1/2 lengths at Chukyo Sept. 12. A half-brother to turf MGSW Isabella Sings (Eskendereya), MSW & GSP Alaura Michelle (Arch) and SW Tobacco Road (Quality Road), Harry Barows was bought back on a bid of $275K at KEESEP in 2018, then realized $425K at OBSAPR last spring. KITTEN’S WALTZ (f, 2, Air Force Blue–Dances With Kitten, by Kitten’s Joy) was bet down to 6-1 for her 1400-meter debut at Hanshin July 18 and raced well off the early pace before finishing with interest to be fourth, beaten six lengths (video, gate 7). Campaigned in the green-and-white hoops of Carrot Farm, the February foal is out of a winning full-sister to MGISW Divisidero and GSP Kitten’s Kid and should appreciate the added real estate for this second trip to the post. SHOVELHEAD (c, 2, Curlin–Date to Remember, by Bernardini) made a pair of starts over Tokyo’s metric mile in June, finishing a debut seventh June 6 ahead of an improved fourth-place effort three weeks later (see below, gate 5). The $700K Keeneland September graduate, a half-brother to GSW National Flag (Speightstown) and GISP Bernina Star (Harlan’s Holiday), was produced by a half-sister to GISW Eddington (Unbridled) and G1SP Star Crowned (Kingmambo). Shovelhead is bred on the same cross as recent GI CCA Oaks winner Paris Lights and GSW/MGISP Point of Honor. PRECIOUS GIRL (f, 3, Speightstown–Pressurizing, by Henrythenavigator), a debut second to the very talented Lecce Baroque (Uncle Mo) in February, was well-beaten in two subsequent tries, but found the winning thread to graduate over this track and distance when last seen July 25. The $375K FTKNOV weanling purchase is out of an unraced daughter of Vertigineux (Kris S.), the dam of the once-beaten Horse of the Year and three-time champion older mare Zenyatta (Street Cry {Ire}), MGISW Balance (Thunder Gulch) and SW Where’s Bailey (Aljabr), dam of GSW She’s Not Here (Street Cry {Ire}).
