AMHRAN NA BHFIANN (IRE) (Galileo {Ire}) is a rarity as a G1 Epsom Derby placegetter needing to go back to maiden company, but this is the most unusual of years and Aidan O’Brien is looking for a timely confidence boost for the full-brother to the G1 Epsom Oaks heroine Was (Ire). The form of his third in the July 4 blue riband is far in excess of what his closest rival Zawara (Ire) (Dubawi {Ire}) achieved when second on the same day here, but that Aga Khan Dermot Weld-trained homebred is out of a half to Zarkava (Ire) (Zamindar) so improvement is expected.
