Road to the Kentucky Derby Continues with Live Coverage Saturday on CNBC and Peacock

NBC Sports will present live coverage of the $1-million GII Louisiana Derby, a key prep race ahead of the 150th GI Kentucky Derby, this Saturday, Mar. 23, live at 6 p.m. ET on CNBC and Peacock from Fair Grounds Race Course. The hour-long program will also feature the $700,000 GIII Jeff Ruby Steaks at Turfway Park and the GII Fair Grounds Oaks.

Six weeks ahead of the running of the Kentucky Derby on Saturday, May 4, the Louisiana Derby and Jeff Ruby Steaks will both award Kentucky Derby qualification points, with 100 going to the winners of each race. The Fair Grounds Oaks will award GI Kentucky Oaks qualification points, with the winner of the race earning 100 points. Also, the Bourbonette Oaks from Turfway Park will be highlighted on Saturday's show.

Britney Eurton will host Saturday's coverage alongside analysts Jerry Bailey and Randy Moss.

NBC Sports To Provide Live Coverage Of Saturday’s $4.5 Million Pegasus World Cup Invitational Series

NBC Sports presents horse racing's first major event of the year, the $4.5 million Pegasus World Cup Championship Invitational Series from Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Florida this Saturday, Jan. 29, live at 4:30 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock.

The 2022 Pegasus World Cup features reigning champion and 2021 Eclipse Award Horse of the Year finalist Knicks Go. Also expected to compete in the Pegasus World Cup Invitational (G1) are Big Fans Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile (G1) champion Life Is Good and 2019 Belmont Stakes winner Sir Winston.

Colonel Liam, last year's $1 million Pegasus World Cup Turf winner, will look to defend his title against a field that includes Man o' War Stakes (G1) winner Channel Cat and Frank E. Kilroe Mile Stakes (G1) champion Hit the Road.

In its sixth year, the Pegasus World Cup Championship Invitational Series will include the $3 million Pegasus World Cup Invitational (G1), to be contested by the expected nine-horse field on the dirt at 1-1/8 miles, and the $1 million Pegasus World Cup Turf Invitational (G1). NBC Sports will also present highlights of the inaugural Pegasus Filly & Mare Turf (G3), which will run earlier in the day on Saturday, during the show. The Pegasus World Cup, which is known for world class racing, features a special race day that combines the fusion of celebrity attendees, fashion, and live performances.

Ahmed Fareed hosts Saturday's coverage alongside Hall of Fame jockey and analyst Jerry Bailey, reporters Britney Eurton and Nick Luck, and analyst/handicapper Matt Bernier from on-site at Gulfstream Park.

NBC Sports Audio on SiriusXM channel 85 will carry live coverage of the event.

In addition to Peacock, all NBC coverage will be streamed live on NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app.

TVG Live On Site For Opening Days At Gulfstream, Oaklawn Park

Two of America's premier race meets will open this weekend and TVG will bring live coverage of opening day at Oaklawn Park and Gulfstream Park's Championship Meet into the homes of horse racing fans across the country.

TVG's Mike Joyce will be reporting live from Arkansas throughout the weekend as Oaklawn Park kicks off the racing season on Friday with a nine-race card featuring the $150,000 Advent Stakes for 2-year-olds. The race has drawn a field of ten including the 5-2 morning line favorite Cairama for Steve Asmussen. A $525,000 purchase at OBS in March, the son of Cairo Prince will have Ricardo Santana, Jr. in the irons. The stakes action will continue on Saturday with the $150,000 Mistletoe Stakes for 3-year-old fillies.

Gulfstream Park's Championship Meet will begin on Saturday and TVG's coverage will include the addition of the Jockey Cam which allows the viewers to view the action through the eyes of some of the best jockeys in the world. This popular technology debuted in California this summer. Larry Collmus will be on-site daily with expert insight and analysis throughout the meet. Saturday's opening day card features two stakes races for 2-year-olds – the $75,000 Pulpit Stakes and the $75,000 Wait a While Stakes for fillies. Both races are scheduled to be run at one mile on the turf.

The Championship Meet runs through April 3rd and is highlighted by the $3 million Pegasus World Cup (G1) on Jan. 29 and the $1 million Florida Derby (GI) on April 2.

In addition to racing from Oaklawn Park and Gulfstream Park, TVG will be featuring racing from Los Alamitos, Tampa Bay Downs, Fair Grounds, Aqueduct and more. Fans can tune in on TVG, TVG2 and the Watch TVG app which is available on Amazon Fire, Roku and connected Apple TV devices.

Every Race, Every Day: TVG Featuring Live Coverage From Keeneland

TVG, America's horse racing network, will be broadcasting every race, every day with expanded coverage of Keeneland's Spring Meet which begins on Friday, April 2, and runs through Friday, April 23. Opening weekend will feature the Eclipse Award champion and TVG Breeders' Cup Juvenile (G1) winner Essential Quality as he puts his four-race undefeated streak on the line in the $800,000 Toyota Blue Grass Stakes (G2).

Todd Schrupp, Joaquin Jaime, Caleb Keller, Caton Bredar, Gabby Gaudet and Scott Hazelton will be broadcasting live from Keeneland with exclusive interviews, expert analysis and insights throughout opening weekend. Friday's ten-race card will feature a pair of graded stakes races – the $150,000 Beaumont Stakes (G3) and the Transylvania Stakes (G3). The Keeneland Spring meet will feature fifteen graded stakes races.

On Saturday, there will be Kentucky Derby points on the line in the $800,000 Toyota Blue Grass Stakes (G2) which offers 100-40-20-10 qualifying points to the top four finishers. Essential Quality, trained by Brad Cox and ridden by recent Dubai World Cup (G1) winning jockey Luis Saez, will face a field of eight rivals including Highly Motivated, a stakes winner trained by Chad Brown.

Saturday at Keeneland will also feature the $500,000 Central Bank Ashland Stakes (G1), a Kentucky Oaks (G1) prep for sophomore fillies. The race will feature the three-year-old debut of Malathaat for trainer Todd Pletcher and Shadwell Stable. The bay daughter of Curlin is out of Grade 1 winning mare Dreaming of Julia and was undefeated from three starts as a juvenile. Joel Rosario will be in the irons.

The Road to the Kentucky Derby (G1) will run through California on Saturday with the $750,000 Runhappy Santa Anita Derby (G1), a top-tier Kentucky Derby (G1) prep race with 100-40-20-10 points up for grabs for the top four finishers. Trainer Bob Baffert will try to add a tenth Santa Anita Derby victory to his resume and will saddle two contenders in the field of ten – graded stakes winner Medina Spirit with John Velazquez aboard and recent maiden winner Defunded with Mike Smith up.

TVG's Mike Joyce, Simon Bray, Christina Blacker and Dave Weaver will be reporting live from Santa Anita with full coverage of the twelve-race card which will feature a total of six stakes races.

TVG will also be broadcasting the eleven-race card from Aqueduct which will feature five graded stakes races including the $750,000 Wood Memorial Stakes (G2), a major prep race on the road to the Kentucky Derby with 100-40-20-10 qualifying points available to the top four finishers. The race has drawn a field of nine including Risk Taking, one of two horses for trainer Chad Brown. The son of Medaglia d'Oro was last seen winning the Withers Stakes (G3) in February and will team up with Irad Ortiz, Jr.

In addition to racing from Keeneland, Santa Anita and Gulfstream Park, TVG will feature racing from Oaklawn Park, Aqueduct and more. Fans can tune in on TVG, TVG2 and the Watch TVG app which is available on Amazon Fire, Roku and connected Apple TV devices.
