HIGHEST GROUND (IRE) (Frankel {GB}) makes his eagerly-awaited return, having earned TDN Rising Star status a long time ago when impressing on his winning debut at Leicester in September. The Niarchos Family’s relative of the sire King of Happiness (Spinning World) encounters another TDN Rising Star in Gestut Ammerland and Newsells Park Stud’s Waldkonig (GB) (Kingman {GB}), the John Gosden-trained half-brother to Waldgeist (GB) (Galileo {Ire}) who was third when odds-on for the Listed Newmarket S. earlier this month.

CAIRN ISLAND (IRE) (Kodiac {GB}) cost trainer Kevin Ryan 525,000gns at the Tattersalls October Book 1 Sale and debuts for Sheikh Mohammed Obaid Al Maktoum in this intriguing affair. The half-brother to the useful Galileo (Ire) pair of Cameron Highland (Ire) and Field of Miracles (Ire) gets seven pounds from Russell Jones’s Tom Dascombe-trained Devious Company (Ire) (Fast Company {Ire}), who beat some rivals who fared well in last week’s Listed Chesham S. including March Law (Ire) (Lawman {Fr}) on his debut at Haydock earlier this month.

Kingman’s Palace Pier Best In the St James’s Palace

Frankie is on fire again at his favourite venue and he took the final day of Royal Ascot by storm as he steered TDN Rising Star Palace Pier (GB) (Kingman {GB}) to success in the G1 St James’s Palace S. Settled just behind the frantic pace early, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum’s unbeaten 4-1 shot came wide off the turn and in the last half furlong saw off Pinatubo (Ire) (Shamardal) and Wichita (Ire) (No Nay Never) by a length and a head.

Son of Treve Begins His Career at Chantilly

Friday’s Insights features the first foal of dual Arc heroine Treve (Fr) (Motivator {GB}).

With the presence of Scuderia Micolo’s Giulio Cesare (Fr) (Dabirsim {Fr}) in this straight dash, turfistes will have an early opportunity to compare collateral form with juvenile benchmark Livachope (Fr) (Goken {Fr}). The homebred bay, himself the winner of a form-franked maiden on debut at this venue last month, was six-lengths adrift of that sensation in last Sunday’s Listed Prix La Fleche.

Andre Fabre is charged with the care of Al Shaqab’s February-foaled bay, whose opponents include His Highness The Aga Khan’s Ashim (Fr) (Stormy Atlantic), an Alain de Roye-Dupre-trained son of Ashiyla (Fr) (Rock of Gibraltar {Ire}) who was fourth in the 2010 G1 Prix Vermeille.

1.35 Tipperary, Mdn, €14,000, 2yo, c/g, 5fT
SWISS ACE (GB) (Kingman {GB}) cost 400,000gns at the Tattersalls October Book 1 Sale and is a half to the four black-type performers Swiss Diva (GB) (Pivotal {GB}), Swiss Spirit (GB) (Invincible Spirit {Ire}), Swiss Dream (GB) (Oasis Dream {GB}) and Swiss Franc (GB) (Mr. Greeley) out of the classy sprinter Swiss Lake (Indian Ridge {Ire}). Aidan O’Brien introduces the February-foaled bay against seven rivals.
