Pick 6 Carryover Of $39,560 Into Saturday’s Card At Belmont Park

Saturday's 11-race card, which features five graded stakes races highlighted by the Grade 1, $700,000 Man o' War, will be bolstered by a Pick 6 carryover of $39,560 after the multi-race wager went unsolved on Friday's program.

The $1 Pick 6 returned $6,593 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 winners correctly.

The sequence began with a price in Race 4 as the Timothy Hills trainee Seaver [No. 6, $37.40] upset the $40,000 state-bred maiden claimer under Luis Rodriguez Castro to give Hills his first victory of the meet. Race 5 saw jockey Dylan Davis earn his 1,000th career victory aboard the Christophe Clement-trained Heels Together [No. 5, $8.90] in a $40,000 maiden claiming race.

Principled Stand [No. 8, $9.90] earned the third win of his career under Irad Ortiz, Jr. in Race 6 for meet-leading trainer Chad Brown before Amalfi Princess [No. 2, $23.80] provided the second-largest price in the sequence in Race 7 under Luis Saez for conditioner Mike Maker.

Jacqueline Davis rode Shadolamo [No. 6, $14.80] to a $25,000 claiming victory in Race 8 sprinting 6 1/2 furlongs over the main track for owner/trainer Eduardo Jones.

With the carryover already confirmed, a field of 10 arrived at the gate for Race 9 following the late scratch of Gold Bullion [No. 11]. Tickets alive to Gold Bullion moved to post time favorite Mischief Mogul [No. 4, $2.80], who subsequently dead-heated with Civil Service [No. 5, $4.90] after a thrilling duel to the finish of the six-furlong turf maiden claimer. Mischief Mogul, trained by Jeffrey Englehart, was ridden by Luis Saez with the Linda Rice-trained Civil Service piloted by Jose Lezcano.

Saturday's Pick 6 begins in Race 6 at 3:39 p.m. Eastern. The lucrative card will feature the Grade 3, $150,000 Vagrancy in Race 3; the Grade 3, $150,000 Runhappy in Race 5; the Grade 1, $700,000 Man o' War in Race 8; the Grade 3, $200,000 Peter Pan in Race 9; and the Grade 3, $150,000 Beaugay in Race 10. First post is 1:00 p.m. Eastern.

Lucky Friday The 13th? Mandatory Payout Of Pick 6 At Charles Town

When Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races of West Virginia offers its live racing program on Friday, May 13, it will again offer horseplayers a great opportunity with a mandatory payout of the track's Pick 6 carryover.

The Charles Town 6-12 carryover currently stands at $149,412 with 2 cards remaining prior to its distribution.

The Charles Town 6-12 is a jackpot style Pick 6 covering the final six races on each Charles Town card and carries a low 12-percent takeout.

Due to the low takeout and size of the carryover, the mandatory payouts of the Charles Town 6-12 have often resulted in a players' advantage north of 10 percent paid out on top of the gross pool on the night of the distribution.

The first race on Charles Town's Friday night program is scheduled for its standard 7:00 P.M EST post time.

Gulfstream Park: $200,000 Guaranteed Jackpot in Sunday’s Rainbow 6

The 20-cent Rainbow 6 gross jackpot pool will be guaranteed at $200,000 for Sunday's program at Gulfstream Park.

The popular multi-race wager went unsolved Saturday for the fourth racing day in a row after a lucky ticketholder hit the jackpot for a $220,289 payoff a week earlier.

The Rainbow 6 jackpot is paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70% of that day's pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30% is carried over to the jackpot pool.

Sunday's Rainbow 6 sequence will span Races 5-10, kicked off by a mile maiden special weight race on turf that attracted a full field of 3-year-old fillies. Hall of Fame trainer Bill Mott and Godolphin will be represented by first-time starter Ornamental, a homebred daughter of Medaglia d'Oro. George Weaver-trained Linda's Gift, a promising second in her recent debut, will have to overcome the No. 12 post position Sunday. Tom Proctor-trained Therearenorules had a troubled trip while finishing third, behind Linda's Gift, in her most recent start.

Mott-trained Overcooked, a daughter of Into Mischief who brought a winning bid of $475,000 at the 2020 Keeneland sale, is scheduled to make her debut in Race 7, a six-furlong maiden special weight event for fillies and mares. Saffie Joseph Jr.-trained Spirit of Power, a daughter of Lord Nelson, is also slated to debut.

Rohan Crichton-trained Brit's Candyman, who finished third in the Texas Glitter last time out, returns in Race 9, the featured five-furlong optional claiming allowance for 3-year-olds on turf. Reynaldo Yanez-trained Capture the Time is rated as the 5-2 morning-line favorite on the strength of a dominating maiden score. Kelly Breen-trained Due Vini, a son of Treasure Beach, is scheduled to make his turf debut while coming off a promising second on the main track.

There will be a Super Hi-5 carryover of $7,480.20 heading into Sunday's program.
