Gulfstream Park: Rainbow 6 Jackpot Pool Guaranteed At $125,000 Friday

The Rainbow 6 gross jackpot pool will be guaranteed at $125,000 on Friday's Happy Hour program at Gulfstream Park.

The popular multi-race wager has gone unsolved for the three racing days following last Thursday's mandatory payout.

The Rainbow 6 jackpot is paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70% of that day's pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30% is carried over to the jackpot pool.

Friday's first-race post time is set for 2:55 p.m. (ET).

The Rainbow 6 gross jackpot pool will be guaranteed at $100,000 Sunday at Gulfstream Park, where the $100,000 Bob Umphrey Sprint will headline a 10-race program to wrap up Summit of Speed Weekend.

The popular multi-race wager has gone unsolved for the two racing days following Thursday's mandatory payout.

The Rainbow 6 jackpot is paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70% of that day's pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30% is carried over to the jackpot pool.

The Rainbow 6 sequence will span Races 4-10, including the Bob Umphrey Sprint in Race 9.

Ken Ramsey and the Estate of Sarah Ramsey's Chasing Artie returns to ungraded stakes company in the Umphrey, a 5 ½-furlong dash on Tapeta for 3-year-olds and up. The Saffie Joseph Jr.-trained son of We Miss Artie, who finished off the board in the Jaipur (G1) at Belmont Park last time out, is a multiple stakes winner who captured a Gulfstream optional claiming on turf in his 2022 debut and first start for Joseph April 22.

Amador Sanchez-trained Dubai Key will seek his third straight victory on Tapeta in as many U.S. starts in the Umphrey. The Argentina-bred 5-year-old is a group-stakes winner in South America.

Sunday's first-race post time is set for 12:30 p.m. (ET). There will not be a live racing program during Gulfstream Park's Freedom Fest celebration Monday.

The sequence kicked off in Race 4 with Ricochet [No. 1A, $4.80] taking a $60,000 starter allowance for trainer Mike Maker with Flavien Prat in the irons.

Presque Isle Downs shipper Oxymore [No. 6, $24.60] graduated impressively at first asking under Jose Ortiz in Race 5 for owner/trainer Adam Rice before first-time starter Empire Hope [No. 3, $11.60] did the same under Flavien Prat for leading trainer Chad Brown in Race 6.

Race 7 saw the Rob Atras-trained Saint Selby [No. 3, $4.80] pick up his fourth career win under Kendrick Carmouche in a 6 1/2-furlong allowance sprint. Eric Cancel engineered a winning ride aboard Dynadrive [No. 8, $92] for conditioner Tom Morley to provide the largest upset on the card in Race 8, a 1 1/4-mile optional claiming turf test.

The Jose Camejo trainee Custom Bobby's [No. 7, $24] took down Race 9 with Hall of Famer John Velazquez in the irons to earn his third career win in the $35,000 claimer. The 4-year-old Custom for Carlos gelding nosed out the 2-1 favorite Fast N Fearious [No. 6], who was the only horse covered in the final leg.
