The 20-cent Rainbow 6 Jackpot pool will be guaranteed at $700,000 Sunday at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Fla.
Sunday's sequence begins with the fifth race, a claiming event for 3-year-olds and up scheduled at 1 1/16 miles on the turf. The sixth race, a six-furlong event for non-winners of one for 2-year-olds, drew a field of six including debut winner Hey Porter, Laki Lio, a winner of his first race before finishing seventh in the FTBOA Dr. Fager division of the Sire Stakes, and Roman Poet, third at Monmouth last time out in the Tyro.
The third leg of the sequence is the $75,000 Bear's Den scheduled at 7 ½ furlongs on the turf. Fulmini, a winner of two of his last three, is the 2-1 morning-line favorite.
The Rainbow 6 jackpot is paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day's pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.
