TRANQUIL LADY (IRE) (Australia {GB}) makes her debut for Teme Valley Racing and Joseph O'Brien, who combined to win Saturday's GI Saratoga Derby with her half-brother State of Rest (Ire) (Starspangledbanner {Aus}). She will need to be smart to deal with some experienced rivals including Juddmonte's Galway third Golden Beach (GB) (Oasis Dream {GB}), a Dermot Weld-trained full-brother to the Group 1 performer Imaging (GB).

 

6.25 Kempton, Novice, £7,000, 2yo, f, 7f (AWT)
SILK ROMANCE (IRE) (Shamardal) is the fifth foal out of the G1 Fillies' Mile and G2 May Hills S. winner Lyric of Light (GB) (Street Cry {Ire}), whose sole black-type performer so far is the useful Bright Melody (Ire) (Dubawi {Ire}). Like that 4-year-old trained by Charlie Appleby, Godolphin's May-foaled bay faces 11 on debut including Saif Ali and Saeed Al Tayer's fellow newcomer Amzaan (Ire) (Dubawi {Ire}), a William Knight-trained daughter of the G2 Park Hill S. winner Meeznah (Dynaformer) who was disqualified having finished second in the 2010 G1 Epsom Oaks.

CONCERT HALL (IRE) (Dubawi {Ire}) is the fourth foal out of the G1 Epsom Oaks heroine Was (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) who starts out for the Derrick Smith-Susan Magnier-Michael Tabor-Westerberg combination. Aidan O'Brien saddles the February-foaled relative of New Approach (Ire), who meets Simon Munir and Isaac Souede's experienced Seisai (Ire) (Gleneagles {Ire}), a Joseph O'Brien-trained half-brother to the recent Listed Glencairn S. winner Magnanimous (Ire) (Mehmas {Ire}).

Gowran Park Rescheduled For June 14

Following the abandonment of Gowran Park's Wednesday meeting, a replacement fixture has been scheduled at that venue for June 14, Horse Racing Ireland announced on Thursday. Entries for the afternoon meeting will close at noon on June 9, with declarations to be made by 10 a.m. on June 12. The first post will begin at 1:45 p.m.

KING OF THE CASTLE (IRE) (Galileo {Ire}) is a full-brother to this year’s G1 Epsom Derby hero Serpentine (Ire) who was the latest in a line of smart performers out of the G1 Epsom Oaks-placed Remember When (Ire) (Danehill Dancer {Ire}). Aidan O’Brien saddles the May-foaled chestnut, who is joined by the stable’s Roman Empire (Ire) (Galileo  {Ire}), a half-brother to the G1 Phoenix S. winner Sudirman (Henrythenavigator) who was fourth on debut here in July.

 

3.35 Gowran Park, Mdn, €25,000, 2yo, f, 8fT
MARTINIQUE (GB) (Le Havre {Ire}) is another notable Ballydoyle newcomer on the card, being a 825,000gns Tattersalls October Yearling Sale Book 1 graduate whose dam is the G2 Park Hill S. runner-up Phiz (Ger) (Galileo {Ire}). Related to the dual group winner Peace Royale (Ger) (Sholokhov {Ire}), the March-foaled bay tackles 13 rivals in this introduction.
