Altior’s Camelot Half-Brother Leads The Way At Land Rover Sale

A gelding by Camelot (GB) brought a session-topping €300,000 during the first day of the Goffs Land Rover Sale on Tuesday. Offered by Peter Nolan Bloodstock, lot 93, the half-brother to the outstanding Grade 1-winning hurdler Altior (Ire) (High Chaparral {Ire}), was purchased by Mags O'Toole. The 3-year-old bay is a son of the G3 Brandon Hotel H. Hurdle heroine Monte Solaro (Ire) (Key of Luck).

One of 25 lots to make six figures or better, the gelding was followed by lot 229, a son of No Risk At All (Fr) that was snapped up by Henrietta Knight for €195,000 from the draft of Moanmore Stables. Out of dual listed-winning jumper Tangaspeed (Fr) (Vertical Speed {Fr}), the bay is a half-brother to a pair of stakes horses.

The other lot to sell for €150,000 or higher was a gelded son of Blue Bresil (Fr), who caught the eye of Highflyer. Lot 211 was part of the Clonmult Farm consignment and made €150,000. Under the second dam, who won a Grade 2 over fences and was third in the G1 Irish Grand National H. Chase, is listed winner and G1 Champion Bumper NH Flat Race second American Mike (Ire) (Mahler {GB}).

Tuesday's session featured a high clearance rate of 92% for 205 sold from 224 offered. The gross was €11,054,000, while the average was up 17% to €53,922. The median was €46,000.

Winning Invincible Spirit Colt Added To Goffs London Sale

Wild card Ti Sento (Ire) (Invincible Spirit {Ire}) has been added to the Goffs London Sale in association with Privat 3 Money. The Adrian McGuinness trainee won at Listowel on June 5. Selling as lot 26, the 2-year-old colt rounds out the 26-strong sales catalogue. Of that number, 14 of those horses will be offered with Royal Ascot entries. The sale will be held at the Kensington Palace Gardens on the eve of Royal Ascot on June 13.

MGSW Cadillac Leads Late Additions To Goffs London Sale

The Goffs London Sale catalogue grew to 26 lots, with three-time group winner Cadillac (Ire) (Lope de Vega {Ire}) leading the late entries. A group winner at two and three, the 4-year-old son of Seas Of Wells (Ire) (Dansili {GB}) has already added the Listed Glencairn S. at Leopardstown to his haul for trainer Jessica Harrington.

Another new lot is the placed Pivotal (GB) mare Cartesienne (Ire), a half-sister to Classic and Breeders' Cup winner Modern Games (Ire) (Dubawi {Ire}) and the listed winner Modern News (GB) (Shamardal), second in Saturday's G3 Cazoo Diomed S., who is carrying to Cadillac's sire Lope de Vega. A trio of Camelot (GB) weanlings bred on Southern Hemisphere time out of stakes winner Keystone Gulch (Gulch); Tawaareekh (Monsun {Ger}), out of a half-sister to Group 1 winner Tamayuz (GB) (Nayef); and Whazzup (GB) (Zoffany {Ire}), a daughter of Group 3 winner Whazzis (GB) (Desert Prince {Ire}), respectively, have also joined the sale. Finally, a breeding right to smart, young sire Havana Grey (GB) (Havana Gold {Ire}), who already has 15 first-crop winners to his credit, will also be auctioned. The sale will be held at the Kensington Palace Gardens in association with Privat 3 Money on the eve of Royal Ascot, June 13.

Irish 1000 Guineas Fourth Star Girls Aalmal One of The Highlights of The Goffs London Sale

A total of 14 lots have been catalogued for the Goffs London Sale in association with Privat 3 Money, with one of the highlights G1 Tattersalls Irish 1000 Guineas fourth Star Girls Aalmal (Ire) (Elzaam {Aus}) consigned by Henry De Bromhead. Scheduled for the eve of Royal Ascot at the Kensington Palace Gardens on June 13, the sale's final entrants will be announced next week.

Other choice offerings include the listed winner Symphony Perfect (Ire) (Fast Company {Ire}) from Richard Hannon; fellow listed-winning 3-year-old filly Ladies Church (GB) (Churchill {Ire}) from the yard of Johnny Murtagh; and the colts–Andrew Balding's Convivial victor Hoo Ya Mal (GB) (Territories {Ire}), who placed in the G3 Craven S. and holds entries in both the G1 Cazoo Derby and G1 Prix du Jockey Club; and Listed Dee S. runner-up Cresta (Fr) (New Bay {GB}) for Martyn Meade.

Breeding rights in young, Group 1 sires Aclaim (Ire) (Acclamation {GB}), who sired the 2022 G1 QIPCO 2000 Guineas heroine and 'TDN Rising Star' Cachet (Ire), and Ardad (Ire) (Kodiac {GB}), responsible for dual Group 1 winner Perfect Power (Ire) in his first crop, are offered as well.
