Observations on the European Racing Scene turns the spotlight on the best European races of the day, highlighting well-pedigreed horses early in their careers, horses of note returning to action and young runners that achieved notable results in the sales ring. Tuesday's Observations features a 'TDN Rising Star'.

2.25 Saint-Cloud, Cond, €28,000, 3yo, c/g, 8fT
EREVANN (FR) (Dubawi {Ire}) makes his eagerly-awaited return to action, having earned TDN Rising Star status on his sole start at Deauville in October. The Aga Khan's son of the G1 Poule d'Essai des Pouliches, G1 Coronation S. and G1 Prix du Moulin heroine Ervedya (Fr) (Siyouni {Fr}) has been entered in the G1 Poule d'Essai des Poulains and G1 Prix du Jockey Club by Jean-Claude Rouget and he will have his mettle tested here by Juddmonte's Blue Boat (GB) (Frankel {GB}). A member of the family of Fantasia (GB) (Sadler's Wells), the Francis-Henri Graffard-trained homebred has Classic pretensions himself having beaten the subsequent G3 Prix Thomas Bryon winner Dreamflight (GB) (Frankel {GB}) over this course and distance in September. Also in the mix for this intriguing Prix Comrade is the Wertheimers' Chantilly debut scorer Moneyman (GB) (Kingman {GB}), an Andre Fabre-trained son of Mizz Money (Mizzen Mast), the dual graded-stakes scorer who was bought for 500,000gns at the 2018 Tattersalls December Mares Sale.

4.35 Navan, Mdn, €12,000, 3yo, 10fT
STONE AGE (IRE) (Galileo {Ire}) returns as one of the highest-rated maidens in training, having finished second in the G1 Criterium de Saint-Cloud and the G2 Champions Juvenile S. Peter Brant, Susan Magnier and Michael Tabor's relative of the G1 Prix de Diane heroine Bright Sky (Ire) (Wolfhound) holds Derby entries and should have what it takes to get off the mark and join the Ballydoyle ranks for the mile-and-a-half Classics.

Tuesday Returns at Naas

Observations on the European Racing Scene turns the spotlight on the best European races of the day, highlighting well-pedigreed horses early in their careers, horses of note returning to action and young runners that achieved notable results in the sales ring. Sunday's Observations features a full-sister to MG1SW Minding (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}).

5.00 Naas, Mdn, €15,000, 3yo, f, 8fT
TUESDAY (IRE) (Galileo {Ire}) is arguably the most high-profile maiden in Europe as a full-sister to Minding (Ire) and Empress Josephine (Ire) who shaped with so much promise on her sole start when narrowly denied by the subsequent G1 Moyglare Stud S. winner Discoveries (Ire) (Mastercraftsman {Ire}) at The Curragh in June. Pointed by Aidan O'Brien to the same maiden that Empress Josephine captured 12 months ago en route to Irish 1000 Guineas glory, the daughter of Lillie Langtry (Ire) (Danehill Dancer {Ire}) will start at cramped odds in a field containing the intriguing Niarchos newcomer Verlinga (Ire) (Dubawi {Ire}), a Jessie Harrington-trained daughter of the dual group winner Bocca Baciata (Ire) (Big Bad Bob {Ire}).

How They Fared…
1.25 The Curragh, Mdn, €17,000, 2yo, 5fT
FINSCEAL GO DEO (IRE) (Kingman {GB}), the daughter of Finsceal Beo (Ire) (Mr. Greeley), was always in the firing line and was tiring out of contention when bumped by the eventual winner inside the final furlong out. Not given a hard time afterwards, she finished fourth.

4.10 Doncaster, Mdn, £7,300, 3yo, 10f 43yT
ALMUHIT (IRE) (Sea the Stars {Ire}), the full-brother to Taghrooda (GB), ran green throughout and although well-beaten in fourth showed promise.
