Breeders’ Cup Champion Tuesday to Visit Into Mischief

GI Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf winner Tuesday (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) will be bred to perennial leading sire Into Mischief this year, Spendthrift Farm confirmed.

Tuesday raced for her breeder Coolmore, in partnership with Swiss car manufacturer Georg Von Opel's Westerburg, and racked up a career line of 10-3-3-1, $1,828,827, which also included a victory in the G1 Cazoo Oaks (Epsom Oaks) and a second in the G1 Yorkshire Oaks.

Tuesday is a daughter of English champion and MG1SW Lilly Langtry (Ire) (Danehill Dancer {Ire}) and therefore a full sister to champion and MG1SW Minding (Ire), G1SW Empress Josephine (Ire) and GSW Kissed By Angels (Ire).

Dubawi And Galileo Mares Supplemented For Goffs February Sale

Galileo (Ire) and Dubawi (Ire) fillies with Classic connections are among 23 supplementary lots to be offered at next week's Goffs February Sale set for Feb. 8 and 9. Pedigrees are available to view online here.

Close relations to G1 Irish Oaks and G1 Yorkshire Oaks heroine Seventh Heaven (Ire) (Galileo) head the supplementary lots, with Over The Rainbow (Ire), a 4-year-old daughter of Dubawi out of Seventh Heaven, to be offered from The Castlebridge Consignment (Lot 383A).

Baroda Stud offers an own-sister to Seventh Heaven in Sweet And Lovely (Lot 459A), a 4-year-old whose other siblings include G1 Middle Park S. winner Crusade (Mr. Greeley) as well as Group 2-placed colts Cristoforo Colombo (Henrythenavigator) and Coat Of Arms (Galileo {Ire}) (Lot 459A).

Baroda Stud also consigns the winning Red Azalea (Ire) (Galileo), who is out of Group 3 winner Music Box (Ire) (Invincible Spirit {Ire}) (Lot 482A).

The additions bring to six the number of Galileo mares on offer next week at Kildare Paddocks, a lineup that also includes Love On My Mind (Ire), the dam of 2022 G1 Goffs Vincent O'Brien National S. winner Al Riffa (Wootton Bassett {GB}).

Selling gets underway at 10 a.m. each day.

Magical Lagoon Pointing Toward The Queen Elizabeth S.

Classic winner Magical Lagoon (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}), who won the G1 Irish Oaks last year, will be aimed toward the G1 Queen Elizabeth S. Down Under, Yulong CEO Sam Fairgray confirmed to TDN AusNZ on Wednesday morning.

An impressive winner of the G2 Ribblesdale S. at Royal Ascot for former trainer Jessica Harrington, the Northern Hemisphere 4-year-old is now berthed with Australian Champion Trainer Chris Waller.

“She's with Chris Waller and he's very happy with her, she's settled in well,” Fairgray said. “He'll take her towards a trial at the end of next month and we'll just see how she progresses from there. Ideally, all going well, the Queen Elizabeth would be a good target for her.”

Out of the Lagunas (GB) mare Night Lagoon (Ger), the 305,000gns Tattersalls October Book 1 yearling purchase is also a half-sister to four-time Group 1 winner and sire Novellist (Ire) (Monsun {Ger}). Fifth in York's G1 Yorkshire Oaks in August, the bay was unplaced in the G1 Queen Elizabeth II Cup at Hanshin in November.
