To the Moon Alice Delivers Uncle Mo Filly At Old Tavern Farm As Part Of National Museum of Racing’s Foal Patrol Season 4

To the Moon Alice, an 8-year-old mare owned by Old Tavern Farm, delivered a filly by stallion Uncle Mo at 2 a.m. on April 7 at Old Tavern as part of the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame's Foal Patrol Season 4.

Both the mare and foal are healthy and doing well. This is the second foal of the season delivered on Foal Patrol, following Miss Chapin colt by Oscar Performance at Mill Ridge in Kentucky on Feb. 26.

To the Moon Alice is a dark bay daughter of Malibu Moon out of the Partner's Hero mare Love Match. Bred in Kentucky by Hare Forest Farm, she was purchased  by Old Tavern Farm at the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale in 2017. This is her fourth foal.

There are four mares participating in Foal Patrol Season 4, as well as the stallion Tapit at Gainesway Farm. The next mare scheduled to deliver is Miss Always Ready (in foal to Palace Malice) at Three Chimneys Farm in Versailles, Ky., who is overdue her expected foaling date of March 30. The fourth mare is Janae (Safari North, Versailles, Ky.), who is in foal to Malibu Moon with an expected foaling date of April 12.

Foal Patrol is a one-of-a-kind interactive web project. Season 4 features a collection of live cameras where people can view real-time streams of several mares and their foals and the stallion Tapit. It’s A Girl! Champion Songbird Delivers Tapit Filly

Two-time Eclipse Award winner Songbird has delivered a Tapit filly at Timber Town Stable in Lexington, Ky., the farm's social media account announced Sunday.

This is the third foal for Songbird, who had an Arrogate filly in 2019 and a Tapit filly in 2020. All three were bred by the Whisper Hill Farm operation of Mandy Pope, who bought Songbird as a broodmare prospect for $9.5 million at the 2017 Fasig-Tipton November Sale.

Songbird, an 8-year-old daughter of Medaglia d'Oro, won 13 of 15 starts over the course of her racing career for earnings of $4,692,000. She was named champion 2-year-old filly of 2015 and champion 3-year-old filly of 2016, with nine Grade 1 victories including the 2015 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies at Keeneland.

Tapit, a 20-year-old son of Pulpit, is a perennial leading sire on the racetrack and in the sales ring. He stands at Ganiesway in Lexington, Ky. for an advertised fee of $185,000.

Among Tapit's runners of note are Belmont Stakes winners Tapwrit, Creator, and Tonalist, champions Untapable, Hansen, Stardom Bound and Unique Bella, and Grade 1 winner Constitution, who is himself rising quickly up the sire ranks. Tapit is led in this year's Triple Crown trail by champion Essential Quality and Grade 2 Fountain of Youth Stakes winner Greatest Honour.

It’s A Girl! Champion Beholder Delivers Bolt d’Oro Filly At Spendthrift Farm

Multiple Eclipse Award winner Beholder welcomed her fourth foal on Friday morning, when she delivered a filly by Bolt d'Oro at Spendthrift Farm, the operation announced on its social media channels.

The filly follows Beholder's other Spendthrift-homebred foals: Q B One, a 3-year-old Uncle Mo colt who is working toward his debut start; the 2-year-old Curlin filly Karin With an I; and the newly-turned yearling Teena Ella, a filly by War Front.

Bolt d'Oro stands at Spendthrift Farm in Lexington, Ky., for an advertised fee of $15,000. Beholder's filly hails from his second crop at stud.

The 6-year-old son of Medaglia d'Oro won four of eight starts and earned $1,016,000, highlighted by victories in the Grade 1 Del Mar Futurity, the G1 FrontRunner Stakes, and the G2 San Felipe Stakes. He also finished in the money in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile and the G1 Santa Anita Derby.

Beholder, an 11-year-old daughter of Henny Hughes, retired from racing in 2016 after an illustrious career that saw her win 18 of 26 starts with earnings of $6,156,600. She earned Eclipse Awards as the outstanding 2-year-old filly of 2012, 3-year-old filly of 2013, and older female of 2015 and 2016.

Among her 11 Grade 1 victories were three Breeders' Cup triumphs, including the 2012 Juvenile Fillies, and the Distaff in 2013 and 2016. Beholder also scored a memorable win in the 2015 G1 Pacific Classic, facing and defeating males in dominating fashion by 8 1/4-lengths at Del Mar.

Disco Partner Sires First Foal

Two-time graded winner and track-record setter Disco Partner (Disco Rico–Lulu's Number, by Numerous) was represented by his first foal when Plenty of Chrome (Big Drama) produced a filly at Rockridge Stud in New York, stallion home of Disco Partner. The filly was bred by John Graziano, Sr. and Patricia Generazio.

The latter bred Disco Partner and raced the popular gray with Christophe Clement. The New York-bred was victorious in 11 of his 33 career trips to the post, including the Jaipur S. in 2017 and 2018 when it was conducted as a Grade III and then a Grade II event, respectively. In the 2017 renewal, Disco Partner stopped the clock in Belmont course-record time of 1:05.67 for six furlongs. Disco Partner also won black-type races at 5 1/2 furlongs, seven furlongs and at a flat mile. He was also third in the GI Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint in 2017 and 2018 and in the GI Jaipur S. in 2019.
