First Foal for Aurelius Maximus

The first reported foal by GSP Aurelius Maximus (Pioneerof the Nile-La Reina, by A.P. Indy) was born Feb. 10 at Hebert Farms in Maurice, LA. The dark bay filly was produced by the Pomeroy mare, Platinum Patty, owned by William Meaux. Platinum Patty, a $100,000 Texas 2-yr-old sale purchase, won a first asking during her juvenile season. The Aurelius Maximus filly is her second foal.

“We are really excited about Aurelius Maximus's first foal. And, we are extremely excited about 'Aurelius'. He's been nothing but class in the breeding shed and the response to him has been outstanding,” said Nathan Granger, who co-owns the stallion with Stonestreet Stables, Bolton, and Leidel.

Bred in Kentucky by Martell Bloodstock and Fifth Avenue Bloodstock out of Le Reina, Aurelius Maximus raced in the Stonestreet Stables silks to a 3-1-1 record from eight lifetime starts before retiring with earnings of $217,114. A close second in the 2020 GII Fayette S at Keenland, the sire stands the 2022 season for $2,000 live foal at Adcock's Red River Farm in Coushatta, LA.
