Nine Set To Sell Through Arqana Online

A nine-strong mixed sale catalogue has been released for the upcoming Arqana Online April Sale on Apr. 11. Held from 3-5 p.m., the sale features three Flat horses, four National hunt horses and a pair of breeding stock.

Pyrotechnic (Fr) (Nathaniel {Ire}) (lot 3) was a four-length winner over 2150 metres on Mar. 19 by more than four lengths. The Philippe Sogorb-trained 4-year-old is from the family of Group 1 winner Intellogent (Ire) (Intello {Ger}) and multiple Group 1 winner Nightflower (Ire) (Dylan Thomas {Ire})

More (Fr) (Shalaa {Ire}) (lot 5) won her most recent start over 1600 metres at La Teste Mar. 26. The 3-year-old is from the well-known family of Group 1 winner Roseate Tern (GB) (Blakeney {GB}).

Don't Look Up (Fr) (lot 8), a 3-year-old Caravaggio gelding trained by Jean-Claude Rouget, was most recently third at Cagnes-sur-Mer on Feb. 15.

Eight Pointers Added to Goffs UK Aintree Sale

Eight point-to-pointers have been added to the 2023 Goffs UK Aintree catalogue, bringing the total lots to go under the hammer at Aintree on Apr. 13 to 23.

Among the additional entries are lot 5, Lady Jago (Ire) (Getaway {Ger}) a winner of her debut for Terence O'Brien at Rathcannon; lot 14, the 5-year-old gelding Caher Roes Den (Ire) (Soldier Of Fortune {Ire}), the winner of his most recent PTP for Colin Bowe at Castletown-Geoghegan; and lot 21, last out point-to-point winner Rokathir (Fr) (Muhtathir {GB}), who will also be offered by Bowe.

From the family of the G1 Irish 2000 Guineas-winning sire Power (GB), the February-foaled chestnut is partnered by Seamie Heffernan as Ballydoyle continue to put their Classic hopes under the microscope.

THE BLACK TIGER is another progeny of Justify to represent Rosegreen on the card, with Ryan Moore opting for this unraced half-brother to the G3 Prix des Chenes scorer and G1 Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere and G1 Criterium International-placed Ancient Rome (War Front) and his full-sister Etoile, who captured the G3 Coolmore Stud Irish EBF Fillies' Sprint S. on her debut. The dam Gagnoa (Ire) (Sadler's Wells), who was twice a group 3 winner and was placed in three Classics including when second in the G1 Prix de Diane, is kin to the Derby hero Pour Moi (Ire) (Montjeu {Ire}). Also from Ballydoyle is The Prairie (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}), a son of the G1 Irish 1000 Guineas heroine Again (Ire) (Danehill Dancer {Ire}) who was fourth at Killarney in October, while Jessie Harrington introduces Yuesheng Zhang's Dubawi Delight (GB) (Dubawi {Ire}), a gelded son of the famed Attraction (GB) (Efisio {GB}) who was a 425,000gns Book 1 purchase.

Two Lots for Auctav April Flash Sale

The Auctav April Flash Sale, featuring two lots, is set to take place this month from 6-6:30 p.m. on Friday, Apr. 7.

The first lot is Johannes (Fr) (French Fifteen {Fr}), a recent 10-length winner at Saumur and a half-brother to black-type earner Jasnin (Fr) (Palace Episode). His dam, Jaillissante (Fr) (Verglas {Ire}), is full-sister to Joursanvault (Fr), who already has produced five winners.

The other lot on offer is AQPS Jumper Sacre (Fr) (Triple Threat {Fr}). He hails from the family of Sprinter Sacre (Fr) (Network {Ger}) and his dam, Belle et Sacree (Fr) (Fragrant Mix {Ire}), has already produced three winners.
